Three paths don't make no gatdam sense, though. There's only one split, and Link can't fail, because destiny, the Triforce, and all four Goddesses say so.

Still don't know how I feel about Hylia's origin's though....

Just suddenly another deity? Some kind of female Hercules? Definitely divine in origin, and yet very obviously not nearly god-like.
Could be considered mini-spoilers, eh? And true, but I think Skyward Sword has the best storyline out of the series. When they were making Windwaker people started to wonder how all the games fit together and they just now put some kind of links in the stories, which is a neat touch.

I don't like the idea of the game over path either.

They could always put a game in between Skyward and Minish Cap.

Prequel to Minish Cap centered around lore from that game. Also, they could always just set stuff AFTER all the other games...
Or before! I really thought that Link would end up being the god of courage, Groose/Ghirahim of Power and Zelda of Widom somehow, and they would actually forge the Triforce at one point. I also thought that he would plant the Deku Tree.

Sorry, shoulda censored that myself....

And that's just silly, Fish. If Nintendo did that, Miyamoto would slap them all to hell. And the Deku Tree Idea would be interesting, save for all the indications that this takes place eons before even Minish Cap; The landscape and the monsters drastically change, all the ruins and robots are so far buried and withered that there's not even a hint of them later, and there's 2 whole races that don't exist anymore [Though one could argue that the Mogma evolved into the stacking Mole enemies in Minish Cap.].

I'd also like to know what the deal is with the Sheikah, who are obviously not related to humans or 'Hylians', and why we only ever see one at a time.

And, yes, I too like the story. Especially sense it's one that makes the title of the series finally make sense.

Yeah, even though this Zelda explains a lot of things, it also brings a ton of new questions with it. Maybe it is silly, but it's what I thought would be the most awesome. I mean, forging the Master Sword? Getting the Triforce? That's some pretty sick s**t right there. And how great would it be to go back to OoT and to hear about the three goddesses who created the Triforce and to know that the Deku Tree had it wrong? At the beginning of SS Fi says that oral tradition is really inaccurate and corrects Gaepora Derrbora or whatever. It doesn't seem that farfetched.

Then again I can't connect the games that well. It would be awesome to see a Zelda before Skyward Sword and to see the land with all the technology like the robots.

Would be nice, but it couldn't star anyone named Link or Zelda.
Also, I really like the hints of things they plopped around in the game that you only notice, or only understand afterwards. Like the bracelet on Impa which is actually there from the start, the opening story paintings in the Sealed Grounds, and Zelda's stasis pod [Which for the longest time I thought was a special Timeshift Stone]. I find it funny about how I was right about time-travel occurring in that room, but how wrong the method.

Also, I am sad for Fi. All that time, and we never knew....

I think the 3 split makes sense.

Jeez... Fire Emblem was really really good for the first while, but now I can't seem to do this next battle without a) one of my units dying forever and me having to restart or b) one of my units being attacked by and then automatically killing an enemy unit who could be converted to my side if I could just get the chance to talk to them arrrgh. Not to mention I don't know if I can go back and train even though I have some units that are really strong and some that are still at like, level 1 and who either are too slow to get somewhere and attack and get experience or just too weak to even survive an attack. GOD SOMETHING LIKE THIS ALWAYS HAPPENS WITH SRPGS >_< Same with FFTA2 and Devil Survivor Overclocked, which were also great until the leveling became a problem. >____<

FE's music is so good, too D:
