I'm planning on making a set of bowls to replace the ones that are all chipped and crappy. As a little surprise, maybe.
Just something simple. single color, I'm thinking.

I've been using String Spin to brainstorm shapes.

I'm thinking that I could make 6 of these in one go, if I bought some clay. I'll probably make more than 6 and sell the ones that don't come out as well as singles at the next art sale.

I'm thinking... one 25 lb block of clay I could make like 8... maybe? I'd have to go a little thin, but I'm getting good at that. I could prototype them in pug mill clay (Recycled stuff.) To minimize waste.

Now to think of a nice, all purpose color...

I've started using different colors to make it easier to differentiate the lines representing the inside form the outside.

Trying to decide what colors to buy.

Here's a bunch of pictures of tiles that have proven to be much more reliable than the pictures of cups they are shown behind. I wanna know what you guys think looks cool.

Only real problem is because they're fired flat they don't show running effects. Pretty predictably the light application shows the breaking color here, which is how the glaze will look over areas i runs away from, or that bulge out. Glaze is a sort of liquid for a period, while in the kiln.

I'm thinking of buying a pint of True Celadon (This glaze doesn't look amazing on it's own, but it plays very nicely with under-glazes.) and Ancient Jasper.

I'm wondering how much longer the Indigo Float and Deep Sienna speckle I have will last.

The class has a bit of Albany Slip and Shino that I can use.

I'm not sure how much pottery I'll be making after I leave to get my bachelors... whenever that happens.
