Gimme some examples of modern myth.
Then tell me what traditional myths immediately come to your mind. Like immediately. Unless they're really cool, then you can maybe dwell on it for a minute.

[Kegan] Gimme some examples of modern myth. Then tell me what traditional myths immediately come to your mind. Like immediately. Unless they're really cool, then you can maybe dwell on it for a minute. You could take a look at most fad diets. It's kind of like how certain Chinese emperors used to think drinking Mercury was good for them.

Or pop rocks and soda. I can't think of any myths that would be hero myths or anything like that, though. Mostly just stupid fake facts and stories about serial killers and monsters.

[Kegan] I mean like cultural stories... the not entirely true ones. Yeah, I can't think of any. They don't really exist anymore. Unless you look at science as a myth in that it's created by humans in an attempt to explain the world. Pretty much just Urban Legends now, which is serial killers.
