I hate when something I find funny becomes a stupid ******** meme, so I feel like a gigantic retard f*****t-face for ever finding it funny in the first place...
I ******** laughed out loud at Cave Johnson's "when life gives you lemons" speech the first time I played Portal 2, and now Combustible Lemon t-shirts are all over the ******** internet. THAT WASN'T EVEN WHAT MADE IT FUNNY YOU ******** RETARDS, WHAT WAS FUNNY WAS GLADoS JIZZING IN HER PANTIES OVER IT. And it was clever, because it helped the already implied possibility that they had a thing for each other. But nope, we gotta reduce it to stupid bullshit gay p***s titties meme garbage. ******** the internet. AK OWT.

They're either things that are funny, then ruined by exploitation, or they're things that were never funny that people find funny just to feel more like a collective group. "The cake is a lie" still blows my mind. It was neat graffiti in the game, since it was signifying that GlaDOS uses the same tricks on every subject, and they hid behind the walls and were losing their minds before you, trying to find ways out, but why did it become such a meme? The cake wasn't even a lie, it's in the credits! There was cake!

Valve fans in particular seem content to ruin the comedy in absolutely any game made by their favorite company. I mean, there's plenty of games where people do that stupid s**t (Your princess is in another castle, Jill sandwich, want to see american tee tees, fus roh dah), but when every game Valve makes has some stupid meme attached to it, it's annoying. Especially when it's super widespread and (in both the Portal games' cases) taken extremely out of context. I thought 2 was meme proof,but I guess they're willing to force an unfunny one just so they can feel like they're socializing when they scream it in a lounge whenever someone mentions the game.

Meta_Fish l-Kriel-l Meta_Fish l-Kriel-l My roommate's been listening to a lot of The Megas lately. I love the music, but the fact that they sound so much like Brand New irks me. They've got some new stuff which sounds pretty good, too. They don't really sound that much like Brand New to me. It's neat to see that they've become kind of popular, though! Well, I definitely don't see it as a bad thing, I mean I love Brand New. I just, y'know...keep thinking it's Brand New. Vocally, I mean. Musically they're not similar at all. I might listen to them more now. I'm already into The Protomen and they are aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawesome. My ex used to listen to Brand New and off of the top of my head I can't recall any of their songs and/or if they sound like Theme Gas. The P are awesome, for sure. I didn't promote them that heavily here back in the day because they were already pretty well-known. I was member 1000 to their forums as opposed to 9 on The Megas. xd You're in IL, right? The Protomen have played in Chicago the past two years, and I've been there. That would be a cool meet-up. They played in STL over the summer I think. I wasn't into them yet but I wish I was, I totally could have gone. I'm actually closer to kansas and arkansas than I am to IL at this point. My home is about two hours from IL back in St. Louis but now I'm in Springfield. If they play in either state again I'd be glad to try and go, that would be a great meet-up.
