No, I'm serious. How in heck do the protagnists even use herbs? It's a mystery that eluded me forever.

But if I had to guess they grind them into powder/mush, and then apply it directly to the wounds.

In the middle of battle when zombies attack them and bite them? Don't think so...

Jill (gets bitten by zombie): AGGGHHHHHH!!!!

Menu screen opens, select green herb, use green herb. Turns it into mush and applies directly the wounds while still in battle.

Jill: Suddenly, I feel better now! (Shots zombie with shotgun, decaptitating it and never letting it be a Crimson Skull.)
