Hi, my name is Meg. I have been playing the cello for eight years now and I am currently playing in my high school orchestra. The reason why I chose to play the cello starting in the fourth grade was because it came naturally to me. I remember being able to almost remember whole musical pieces (back when they were just one page each) and being able to just look up at the music director while playing the song. Playing the cello is like a second language to me because I feel that I can communicate emotions through music.

Hello everyone, I'm Genevieve, but most seem to call me Gee. I play upright bass, Jazz and Classical; though I prefer classical. I play for all of the short term and long term orchestras I try out for, and my Middle School's band, but I am way too advanced for that place. xD I really love my instrument, and am severly dedicated to it. I think of it as one of the best things that has happened to me. 3nodding
Well, that's a bit about me, I'm sure I'll have a great time here! biggrin

So ,I m a pianist and I want to be a soloist .Because I study in France ,describing my level would be difficult ( I don t know what the equivalents are in the US AND they are changing everything ...which is so disturbing for everybody ,students and teachers alike ) and I don t want to brag .Let s just say I m really serious about it : I practice about 6 hours a day .I would also like to take a master in composition but I ll have to wait to first have my diploma in piano (this year biggrin ) and graduate from high school . I love talking to any sort of musicians or music lover ,so come and chat with me ! P S : I used to play the cello but I had to stop last year . crying My parents told me I had to chose and that I couldn t play the piano for 6 hours and practice the cello for 4 hours .But when I graduate ,I ll play the cello again ,for sure !

Hello everyone! I'm a classical singer I have been taking lessons for a little over 10 years now or so I don't anymore it became too expensive sadly. I also love to sing jazz/blues, pop and some times rock, depending on my mood lol. I use to play the violin until I fell in love with playing the piano. I'm still a beginner but I just love messing around on a key board.

Hello,
I am a self-taught pianist and have also been taking cello lessons for a few months now. I am also interested in many other instruments as well, such as the viola, trumpet, guitar, drums, etc. I'd pretty much love to play anything I can get my hands on really. I don't play in any orchestras or bands, but I would love to be in an orchestra some day. I am a classical music lover, and I'm also interested in classical music mixed in with other genres of like rock music. My favorite cello piece is Bach's Cello Suite No. 1 Prelude and my favorite piano piece is, well. . .a tie between a few songs:
1. Chopin's Nocturne Op. 9 No. 1 2. Beethoven's Pathetique Sonata Op. 13 No. 8, Part II 3. Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata 4. Rachmaninoff's Prelude in G minor Op.23 No.5
Other than that, you can call me Cheshy. C:

And for the flute I started to play in 5th grade and now im in 10th grade, so yea i'm a sophomore in my high school concert/marching band. The flute is my main instrument.

Hi! I've been playing violin for almost 10 years, and I'm in a youth orchestra outside my high school, since my high school orchestra is kind of....bad...(no offense!). I love playing violin because it's such a fun and pretty instrument! Unfortunately, I don't get time to practice every single day nowadays because I get so much homework and projects and tests from school... >.< Right now I'm working on the Bruch Violin Concerto. I also self taught piano using an electronic keyboard for almost 10 years as well, and now I can play medium level pieces like Chopin Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2, Chopin Etude Op. 10 No. 3, and Joplin Maple Leaf Rag, nothing too fast or too hard. I really want to learn how to play flute, and I did join band in 4th grade, but I immediately quit the day after I joined because I couldn't get a noise out of my flute no matter how I blew xD I love classical music very much, I listen to it every single day. My favorite composers are Bach, Tchaikovsky, R. Strauss, Debussy, Brahms. biggrin

Hello, everybody. I'm Audra, and I am a college musician. I play in the bands, I sing in choir, and I also perform in operas. I have studied music since I can remember, I took my first piano lesson when I was six years old, started band when I was twelve, and started taking voice and choir when I was sixteen, so roughly fourteen years. Let's see... I play piano, flute, piccolo, and bassoon, and I am a coloratura soprano (for those who don't know, go look up the Queen of the Night Aria, that's my easiest definition for it). My favorite type of music, obviously, is classical and opera, the like, and my favorite artists are Il Divo and Diana Damrau.

Greetings, earthlings. My name is Emily. I have been in honor choir for three years. I've participated in the all-region choir clinic every year it has been offered. I'm an alto, but I'm pretty versatile. I can play mandolin, piano, guitar, and violin, but my skills in those areas are very limited. I prefer singing. I am planning on joining a larger choir, but my time is usually limited. So we'll see how that goes.

Hello! I'm Alex. I have been taking piano for 9 years. I also sing classically, and I've had lessons for 6 years. In the last two years, I've started guitar, bagpipes, and violin. I'm a new high school sophomore in the All State choir, so I'm pretty pumped for that. smile My favorite composers are Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, and Handel.
