The Hunter Clan Casino (An RP)

Eri followed Lyn, but walked slowly and nonchalantly. Paddlepoppy wasn't her dog afterall. And the dog's keen sense to smell meat (or bone) had her thinking.

Lyn said the dog can't sense brats. And liquor. What can the dog smell and be so distracted about that it ran past through Mr. Burly guy here.

She walked towards the burly guy but stood within a few feet away. She made a quick scan on the guy from toe to head. She noticed the wet hand that paddlepoppy went through.

"Excuse me", she paused and cleared her throat, making sure the burly guy could hear her amidst the dog rushing and Lyn following through.

". . . are you. . .", she said in a mild and soft tone, "the bouncer in this host club?"

turning to the non-shadow of the two, the large guy responded, with a mildly confused look on his face

"I am a bouncer of sorts, but this is a casino, not a host club." he turned back to the shadow-cat and said "As long as he doesn't bother anybody, no apologies are nessesary".

He had a typical gym enthusiest's mucles, a mucle t-shirt, and jeans. Overall he looked the part of a bouncer, but had nothing visibly on his person identifying him as casino personell.

Lyn Lyre looked up at the giant man.
"Umm...Yes sir."
She said, holding onto her hat so it would not fall off as she looked up to his head. If she squinted she would swear little clouds were moving about chin level to him.
"So this is a casino?"
Lyn asked, not quite familiar with the terminology.

"That's what I said, right? The Hunter Clan's Casino to be specific, anything you need ma'am?" the burly one asked, making an obvious effort to be cordial, and almost succeeding.

Eri was well surprised at how the man gave a curtly response. Most gym trolls don't respond as nice and polite as this one. The usual response she'd expect is a two word phrase that starts with a 'f' and ends in 'ff.'

Ahhh, it's too bad, but he really could be a candidate for a host club personnel

She slid her hands to her coat. I wonder why her dog would take us here. . .

She felt a couple of papers inside her coat pocket but nothing more of what she could expect should they stay here.

"Mr. Bouncer-of-sorts, my friend here is looking for a place to stay. Do you know a place where we could spend some time to rest off without killing our pockets more than they are now?"

the big guy thought a moment, then responded "The only place that is nearly free that I can think of is the WTF Hotel. It is a good lengthy walk, and I would reccomend not doing anything but walking if you head that way."

the burly guy kept his head turning back and forth in a non-obvious manner the entire time as a means of scanning the crowd of people that he considered his duty to oversee.

Lyn smiled apreciativly at the giants response.
"Umm...Would you also by chance know of any places that are hiring for help in town?"

the big guy smiled, thinking that this was as good a chance as any to suck up to his hopefully soon-to be enployers.
" As a matter of fact, the owners of this casino are a mercenary guild who are low on members. and the management of this casino are looking for bouncers to keep angry freshly-impoverished people from rioting again."

Eri smiled-half-grinned. "Would being hired mean getting pay and food and lodging? After all, protecting the place or being on the guild member must be a 24/7 job."

She let go of the paper bill she was feeling with her hand on her coat's pocket. Looks like she won't be spending that much if luck goes with them tonight. The book she was searching for can wait. Better take care of herself first before anything else.

"Well, I know that the position I'm trying for doesn't include room & board, but I've heard Hunter members get private rooms and Clan protection. Don't know much more." the big guy said with a thoight back to rumors he'd heard.

Erin thought it was odd that Mr. Bouncer-of-sorts doesn't have include rooms. Might as well ask as that sort of thing won't get off her mind unless it gets satisfied.

"So, what is really your job here? You make it sound like you aren't a member of the guild. Are you one of those hired guns?"

not really being sure what the proper facial expression for that particular question was, the guy kept a neutral, explanatory non-smile "Well, I am currently applying for the job of bouncer. there was a riot earlier today, and I don't take well to people that could be friends being threatened, so me and some of my buddies got together and asked management what it would take to become casino bouncers. I'm working the example end while my smarter buddies are talking with management."

Lyn kept quiet and politly listened, letting Eri do the talking since she seemed more experienced with this sort of thing

Eri sighed, a bit relieved - but a bit feeling sorry for Mr. Bouncer's situation. It would have been nice if everybody gets board and lodging within this grand hotel/ casino or what not.

The owner of this place must be very rich.

She looked at Lyn one last time, "I guess that's all of it, water-dog-tamer. You get to decide if you're still up in being a worker here." Eri's mind slowly undressed Lyn and put her in a maid outfit as she grinned waiting for Lyn's reply.

Not to shabby, she thought.

Unaware that her lecherous friend was undressing her with her eyes, Lyn Lyre thought about the offer thoughtfully
"Umm....Well when I left for the big city my folks did warn me that I would need to look for work as soon as I found a place because of the prices....."
Looking down at her little hydro puppy and scratching it behind the ears, she smiled.
"Umm....If this place is owned by mercenaries then doesnt that make everyone working here a mercenary too?"
She asked with a note of naivety.
