Mayloo shook her head "Well then I guess I should enjoy it while I can" He too began eating which was somewhat comical but it didn't last long when he placed his utensils away and thought.
She was awaiting to see what he would say.
He had begun about this friend more thoroughly then the brief mentions here and there before. "Taller then you? Man I'm short" Mayloo intervened a mere moment before allowing him to continue on. Weapons eh? She'd rather wield the pistol she did rather then a bow which may take forever to knock another arrow. ((psssh, I love archery xD ))
Another question had came to mind but she would hold off until he was done. When was that exactly? She wasn't sure considering the way he sort of trailed off. Would he finish or not? The thoughts he held could be seen in his eyes but they were not readable.
"Are you..." But he finished off and moved on to explaing a tid bit of their magical sparring. That had to be fun to try. Her own mind wandered a second as she kicked her feet and chewed some more of her food. Maybe she was naive after all.
"Oh yeah, speaking of sparring and stuff, could we perhaps spar on your old battleground?"

Vence nodded, gulping down what water was left in his mouth.
"I don't see why not. I'd have to go easy on you, just letting you know." he grinned and even gave a wink, before he resumed eating his now yolk-soaked toast, topped with some bacon.

She glared at him playfully while nibbling at a strawberry. "I'm not that weak." Popping the rest of the berry into her mouth, Mayloo made sure to chew and swallow before adding. "Besides, I'd prefer a challenge"
The wink he had given made her blush which was the reason she tried to get alittle sassy back. Resuming with the meal, she couldn't help but continuously fall back in a neutral state of peace besides Vence.

"I'm sure you're not," Vence answered politely, adding a little teasing sarcasm into the words. He smiled, unable to help himself. He let the other statement drop in his mind; he figured as much anyway. Who didn't like a challange, unless you were too lazy or something-or-other.

Mayloo picked up on the tone and couldn't help but nudge him alittle while sticking her tongue out. "I won't hold back then" Then again, her powers were still unsure and clumsy occasional so to not hold back was more like a scream for a lesson.
"Let's finish up our meals first and look at our arrival status" The eggs and bits of fruits she had picked were pretty much gone aside from those tid bit scraps. Her two cakes were stacked and with a small fraction gone. The excitement she had didn't exactly favor much food anymore. With one more minor bite, she hopped up, kissed Vence on the cheek and rushed off, but not without saying. "You don't have to rush silly"
Returning to the cabins below, she decided it would be best to change into some daytime clothes which composed of some capris, a fitting blue shirt and her hair down. All her weaponry was to be left below and she returned to the surface.

Vence held up his hands in mock surrender, his smile breaking into a chuckle.
"I believe you, don't go and hurt me now, ok?" He put his hands down and picked up his eating utensils once more, intending to finish his food, silently agreeing with Mayloo's course of action. BEfore he could even take a first bite, she had already (apparently) finished up, and about to bolt.
"Someone's hyped, huh?" He managed to say before she took off. He watched her as she left, until she vanished from his sight. Not wanting to look out of place, eating alone with two people's meals, he finished up as well. Before he left, he placed a few silver coins on the table. Definately worth a proper tip.
Funny, he thought to himself, walking back to their room, I still barely know anything about her, but I feel right at home with her. The thought was, to say the least, quite random; Then again, when were his thoughts ever straight-forward?
He turned to head back under, and very nearly walked right into Mayloo. He managed to stop himself short in time.
"Woah, watch out," he commented, smiling as he circled around her. "You look good, by the way...figured I should mention that."

She jumped a tad when she came in near collision with him but only broke into a blushing smile. "Do I?" Mayloo hugged him tightly before adding in a bit of a joke. "It's a shame you weren't in here wasn't it?" Giggling a tad bit, her grasp let loose slightly but her hands were still hooked around his neck. "You're not all that bad looking either ya know? You look like you can take charge"

"In whatever way you may so chose." Mayloo gave him a peck upon the lips before turning to dash off. Either she would be stopped, or allowed to wander the ship more.
(( Oh, don't you just hate those? Mine isn't any better though ))

Vence watched Mayloo take her leave. Rather than stopping her, he gave a quick wave before entering their room so he could also change his own apparrel.
He didn't have much to work with, but he was able to pull out another sturdy pair of pants, a white thin tanktop, and an equally thin overshirt. The boots were the same, as always. Before he headed out, he strapped on a belt with a few knives, and added a hidden pair strapped to his boots. You never knew when you need to act quickly, and he would rather not have to extensively use his magic.
Once again, about to head out the door, one item in particular caught his interest, dangling from his bag. He took a few steps over and crouched on his toes to see what had made him curious, and smiled. IT was another item he had managed to snatch before living a life of wandering; a small little puzzle, rather simple in structure and execution, but it still made you think. pulling it out, he finally passed through the doorway and closed the door, this time in the process of solving the 8-sided little trinket.
[At least yours is longer. razz this time I didn't have one. :3 Maybe you can tell?]

She was up on the deck, twirling around occasionally awaiting for his arrival. He took a tad longer, which was funny cause girls were always said to be the time consumers, but it was understandable when he came up in what he wore.
"Weapons already? You should consider this a vacation" Of course she was probably being alittle ignorant to their whole situation with a few unwanted outsiders, but maybe she was acting that way on purpose. Everything was supposed to go nicely on this boat ride.
She disregarded the question and spun herself to his side to observe what his hands found to fiddle with. "A puzzle? What does it do?"

Vence glanced up from his puzzle, and shrugged as he broke into a smile. He simply said "you never know," before glancing back down to see what he had done. He had worked the puzzle well enough to know how to solve it even without looking. Not as well as looking, but that wasn't an issue, really.
He had just solved it when Mayloo's curiosity made itself known. Who wouldn't be interested in a little puzzle like this though?
"I'm not really sure what it's called, but the concept is pretty simple. See how there's eight sides? Each corner is a piece that can turn ninety degrees. You have to turn the pieces so that they face flat instead of up. The trick is this; you turn one corner piece, and the two beside it also turn ninety degrees."
Vence made a few turns and brought the puzzle back to the beginning. Might as well show an example. How many people get it right away?
"So lets say I turn these three," Vence started, turning them. "These three are flat, and the other five are still upright. Now, I'm going to turn this piece," -he turned one of the flat sides upright- "so now while this side goes flat, this side," -he turned the flat beside it upright- " will no longer be flat. Now there's four upright here, two upright opposite, and these two across from each other are flat, see? It's harder than it looks."
He made a few more turns and solved it, and fixed it again, holding it out to Mayloo. "Wanna' try?"
[Funny thing is, I made up a puzzle just like that. xp ]

Mayloo gave him a light poke when he said what he had at first and as for his hands, they were still at work with the contraption.
"Seems slightly easy" Of course, since it was a puzzle, it would take some time to solve, which he had already done. "So..." She was going to question how you solve it exactly but he already jumped into it's concept. It did indeed, like he said, seem harder then it had looked originally.
"Me? Uh..." She took it and rolled it around in her hands alittle bit as if trying to visually analyze a solution but that didn't matter once she started. It was one of those kinda of things you thought you caught on to and then boom, it changed it up again.
((seriously? Do you have an actual object or just the idea ))

Vence watched her fiddle with the brainteaser, and couldn't help but laugh to himself when he saw Mayloo miss the solution by two moves. If you weren't careful, you could easily get lost. Still smiling, he wrapped one hand around her waist and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
"You'll get it, don't worry."
[I made it with k'nex. xp Eight corner pieces, one circle piece, and eight lvl 2 axles. rolleyes ]

She had taken his words into consideration and kept trying. Eventually everything fell into place. Mayloo couldn't help but stare at it for a second before finally realizing it was solved. "I did it!"
Hugging Vence, it felt like she could be celebrating something more then what she had actually done. "You did it with ease though" Handing it back to him in a calmer manner, her feet couldn't help but continue their excitement by rushing to the boat rails. "Almost there now!"
((the tissues? xD So...it's more of a 2-D kinda thing eh? Unless you provide visual examples, I'll remain a tad lost. I'm a right brainer after all.))
