"Um... well Kaiba kinda has this creepy knack for being awake when he seems asleep, or waking up constantly in three minute intervals, and I kind of don't want him hearing when I'm talking to Mokuba..." Jounouchi smiled nervously, though a hint of mischievousness was all hidden in that expression, "Sooo... maybe you can stay with Yuugi and Anzu in there or wherever you wanna go, and I'll just drag Mokuba out for a bit? I don't think we'll be long. I hope not." he added in with a nod.
((Sorry I haven't been posting much. Currently planning to run my first DnD campaign, and it's just exhausting all of my creative juices, so I can't come up with anything. XP))

"Hahaha, ok," Hiroto laughed, thoroughly amused by the image that statement presented. "Just ask Mokuba out and I'll stay with Kaiba and the others then, I'll try to give you a hand, promise to call him in as soon as his brother wakes, if he seems resistant. If he feels it's his bro you want to talk about, which it is anyhow, he'll probably go anyhow. Kaiba's his number one concern right - well always. Those two really need to branch out from just each other, even Mokuba is a little too reclusive," Hiroto babbled on, lost in his own musings on the privileged orphan duo.
((It's ok I totally understand, and right now so many characters are isolating themselves, it's getting to be tricky...which isn't necessarily bad, but when you are already drained and tapped it gets to be exhausting. I have 1400/4000 words of one of 3 (all 4000 word) papers accomplished. So I am definitely starting to feel the drain, and the daunting hill ahead of me. stressed ))

"Yeah, guess they do..." Jounouchi smiled lightly, showing a bit of a knowing look as he did so, "Well, let's go then. I wanna get Mokuba away before Kaiba decides to go and wake up again." he put his arm around Honda's shoulders, forcing the other man to walk a quick pace with him. Good, soon another thing would be out of the way. He swallowed his nervousness at this proposition for the kid; he knew it was stupid, and something bad was bound to come of it, yet... he also knew it would eat away at him unless he did this. Jounouchi hated how easily he felt indebted.
((Ooh, that so much sucks, I hate essays. Well, I am currently now also drained from drama with friends, running my DnD campaign now, applying for scholarships, doing research on a potential job I've been offered, getting my finances worked out for school this semester, and finishing applying for Japan. I was gonna work on a bunch of that stuff today, and then I got invited to spend the day with my brother and his family... *angst* XD))

"Hey hey!" Hiroto announced his and Jou's arrival into the sickroom cheerily. He smiled back at Anzu and Yuugi, who both jumped out of the hard plastic visitor chairs on their arrival. "Sorry for just running off guys, but no worries, I have returned, I miss anything?" he asked the duo while waiting for Jounouchi to drag Mokuba off, also mentally preparing some sort of excuse if Yuugi and Anzu once again felt it imperative to insistence on their presence during the discussion. He loved the two, and he was definitely glad to have had them here before Jou arrived, but now that his best friend was here it was getting a little awkward trying to hide everyone's secrets from them. Particularly when he wasn't even sure of all of these secrets himself.
((Oh noes not invites, hehe, j/k. Sorry you have drama, oh how well I know that that sucks. Hope it's not too bad, and at the very least hope it clears up soon. What's the job? Good luck with the scholarships and Japan application, you'll get it done. Just like I'm sure I'll get these evil papers done. In fact I finished one today. Still have to edit it and correct the citations - didn't want to spend the time researching the style guide, I can save that for the end - but it's done. 4003 words, woot! Haha, 2 papers to go, oye.))

"Not really. Just Kaiba Kun sleeping and Mokuba Kun coming back." Anzu replied, crossing her arms as she looked Honda and Jounouchi over, "So where have you two been? Has something been going on?" she looked at them in concern, yet also suspicion.
"Actually, kinda. Honda can explain it." Jounouchi stepped forward, going over to Mokuba, "I gotta talk to the kid first." he looked at Kaiba's little brother, who looked up from where he was sitting, "It's about your brother, if you don't mind stepping out with me real quick." Upon the look over worry he received, he quickly amended, "It's nothing bad."
"...alright." Mokuba looked at his brother one more time before getting up to follow Jounouchi, "Yuugi, come get me if he wakes up or anything happens, okay?"
((Yeah, thanks. It's not too bad for me, but three of my friends are ending friendships with each other (one of my best friends ending with another friend and his wife), so they're all pretty upset right now, and it's gonna effect our social gatherings a lot. The job is about affiliate marketing, but the guy wants to teach me how to do it, then get a cut of anything I make, which I've decided I'd rather not do. I feel I could spend a lot less and learn everything on my own. Thank you. The application is done once they charge me the fee and I accept it, and add in my interview. Scholarships I'm just gonna keep applying forever until my last semester. I do not envy how much you need to write.)) "Sure thing, Mokuba Kun." Yuugi nodded. And so Jounouchi and Mokuba left.

Hiroto winced slightly as Jou implied that there was something to explain. Having an excuse was a backup plan he had hoped he wouldn't need, not one he'd definitely have to provide. He had been hoping to just leave things vague, now he'd have to make something up.
He sat down when Jou left, not even bothering to wait for Anzu and Yuugi to ask him, Jou had promised them something and they were definitely going to bring it up. After some quick thinking he decided it was best to base his story in a bit of truth to keep it organized and believable, and hoping Jou wouldn't mind too much.
"Nothing to major, it's just about Jou's dad which is why I didn't want to tell the whole group before I could tell him. I noticed he was brought it while we were waiting and I wasn't sure why. Turns out he fell and hit his head, a neighbor called an ambulance. He should be fine, nothing major, " he explained, waiting to see what kind of questions he would have to field, hoping that would be enough of an explanation for them to let it go. He'd rather talk about anything else while he sat and wondered what exactly Jou was planning with Mokuba. He just hoped, whatever it was, that it wouldn't involve more time with Kaiba in their life. Clearly hanging around Mokuba's elder brother led to nothing good.
((That's almost worse than being in your own drama, it's hard watching friends fight, wondering if things will ever be the same, or being sad because you know they can't. Currently my dilemma has been twinges of guilt over being part of the problem, although most people are sympathetic to my feelings and aren't really holding anything against me.
Yea I don't like the idea of jobs that it's specifically a percentage of your income that gets taken away (by someone besides Uncle Sam - as that one is unavoidable). I'll pay for trainings depending on the promise the job offers. Like obviously paying the fees for CPR and LG certifications to be a lifeguard is an understandable expense to me. I'll more than earn it back within the course of my job. However there is a point where a percentage subtracted is just someone mooching off my hard work for nothing, that bothers me.))

Jounouchi was so distracted, he hadn't even thought about what problems his words would cause for Honda. He just headed out with Mokuba, taking him to the waiting room.
"Oh, that's terrible." Anzu frowned, though mostly upset for Jounouchi's sake than his father's. The one time she had 'met' him, she had decided that he wasn't a good person, and Jounouchi deserved better than him for a father.
"Well at least he's okay..." Yuugi nodded sympathetically, "Seems like Jounouchi Kun's been going through a lot lately." However, at that they dropped the discussion, not seeming interested in being suspicious about this or pressing for questions. It was reasonable for them to believe that a drunk like Tetsuo could just end up hitting his head and coming to the hospital.
((Haha, sorry my last post was scrambled. Not sure how that happened but I just noticed it. XD Anyway, yeah, it's kind of hard, but I guess I'm someone who only lets myself get severely upset at the worst things. I feel like the three of them probably have it worse right now. And yeah, oftentimes any of us can be part of the problem (I feel slightly at fault, because the initial fight for all of this had to do with scheduling conflicts for the DnD campaign I started, though I wasn't actually involved in any of this discussion), but we're human, and no one's perfect. It's important to realize when you've contributed to a problem in some way, but also to realize that it's not the majority of the problem, and you had not malicious intent behind it. There's no need to run on such guilt for something so mild.
Exactly. If he would've just charged a flat fee to teach me, I would've considered it more. But he's actually looking for a bunch of people to do this for him so he can make money without actually doing the work.))

"Yea he's fine," Hiroto said, glad he wasn't being questioned further. Now they just could sit back, stare at Kaiba's boring face, and wait for Jou and Mokuba to return. Given how this morning went down, that sounded pretty close to perfect for now.
- - -
Seto listened agitatedly to the three idiots chattering idly. He debated between just opening his eyes and letting them know he was awake so they'd talk about something less ridiculously boring, and not wanting them to talk idly to him about his health. As Mokuba was clearly not in the room he might as well feign sleep a bit longer. From what he'd overheard he was off somewhere with Jounouchi, he wondered what the hell that blond troublemaker was up to now.
((Haha it's ok I noticed, I tend to read the ooc comments first anyhow. And yea I wouldn't feel bad over that, I mean even if scheduling conflicts had been the major cause of a dissolve I still think that would indicate a bigger problem in itself.
Yea it's kind of no risk besides time for him. If you make money he makes money, if you don't whatever, not like he did any more work than slight training. And it's usually always slight, those kind of ventures are more field learning anyhow.))

After about ten minutes had passed, Jounouchi and Mokuba returned to the room. Jounouchi looked accomplished, as if he had met the goal he was going for, yet strangely down about it. Mokuba looked nervous, yet also determined. Either way, the two didn't seem about to spill on what they had talked about until Kaiba was awake and completely aware. And maybe even wait a little longer than that.
"How's Nii Sama?" Mokuba asked as he hurried back to his brother.
((Ah, okay. XD Yeah, I think there was some underlying stuff there, but it's really difficult to figure out with the husband and the other friend. Those two have always gotten along really well, and have never even bickered before, and then suddenly it was this terrible fight between them, and then he told her he wanted her out of his life, and she ended up telling his wife she couldn't hang out with her anymore, because it was too difficult, so now his wife feels like their friendship was thrown away.
Exactly.))

"Bored out of my mind. Apparently being electrocuted wasn't enough, I also had to listen to idiots chatter on about magic and dreams for what felt like an eternity," Seto murmured before anyone else could chime in, eyes still shut.
- - -
"Hey you!" Hiroto immediately exclaimed, charged up to get offended at being insulted after everything they'd gone through today, pretty much for Kaiba's sake. However Yuugi was just chuckling amused - he was too good natured that one - and Mokuba was gearing up to be excited and celebratory, so Hiroto just hushed and left it at that. He wondered how long Kaiba had been awake listening to them. Just like the rude b*****d, silently eavesdropping without any indication he was aware of his surroundings.
- - -
Tetsuo swiftly and silently fled from the hospital. Not bothering to ask about test results or even look into check out procedures. He hoped on the first bus towards home, glad that his clothes had been in the room with him, and that he had a bit of spare change in the pocket. His head throbbed slightly and he was in no mood to walk home. An incessant voice was screaming at him to get back to the hospital, to do something drastic, but he fought it off as best he could. He needed to remain calm, he needed to think. Hoping off the bus he ran straight into the corner pub, deciding what he really needed to do was drink.
((Oh sure, kill me with suspense here. xd ))

"Nii Sama!" Mokuba hurried over to him, restraining himself from just completely jumping on top of and hugging Seto. He smiled, glad his brother was awake and well enough to be making rude comments.
Jounouchi snorted, grinning at Honda for being stupid enough to have conversations in front of 'unconscious' Kaiba. He seemed to be at least feeling a lot better right now.

"Hey Mokuba, did you get everything taken care of at the office for me?" Seto asked, slightly glance at Jounouchi the entire time. He wanted to know where the two of them had been off to, and if it wasn't for Yuugi and his ridiculous friends hoovering as well he would. However he wasn't sure what he was being left in the dark about, and it might not be information he wanted to share with everybody who insisted on being here right now, for no reason he could really discern. He'd focus on work for now and whatever conspiring that mut-Jou was up to later. He cringed realizing he was now even mentally correcting himself away from his favorite "pet" name.
- - -
Yuugi and Anzu were concentrating happily on the reunited brothers, and while Kaiba's attention was clearly Jou's way he decided to pay no mind. Sidling stealthily up to his friend Hiroto murmured, "Took care of everything you need to?" He didn't particularly need details, he just wanted to keep making sure his friend was ok. As work out as Hiroto was Jounouchi had to be ten times as exhausted and drained right about now.
((Flying home soon and depending on jet lag and remaining classwork I might not get back on here until Monday. We shall see.))

"Yup." Mokuba nodded, "And I'll keep helping all you need until you're better." he assured.
"Hm?" Jounouchi glanced back at Honda, "Um... kind of..." he replied, equally quiet, "I mean, got what I needed to with Mokuba squared away, but... well, I might be busy for a while." he simply smiled lightly, making it clear he wasn't going to say anything more than that. Honestly, he knew Honda would find out soon enough, but... well, the guy was gonna flip. And so would Anzu and possibly Yuugi. He wanted to put off telling them for now until he and Mokuba brought it up to Kaiba and got it settled for good first.
((Okay, wish you the best of luck!))

"Thanks Mokuba, I knew I could count on you," Seto said, lightly patting his brother's head.
- - -
"Mmm?" Hiroto murmured in the form of a question, though he didn't particularly expect, nor wait for an answer. Raising his voice to address the entire group, he said, "Well, as fun as this has all been, I think it's safe to say everyone seems well enough for now, and I think I'm at least going to bail on this dreary place for now. Try not to injure yourself anymore Kaiba," he finished with a snicker, which the man addressed answered with an unamused glare.
"Anyhow I'm famished, so anyone up for a tasty non-hospital served lunch follow me," he finished with flourish, strutting slowly from the room in case anyone did decide to follow. He didn't particularly care one way or the other, just as long as he was far away from the hospital in the next 10 minutes.
((It is Monday, 7am Monday, haha. I went to bed at 8pm UK time last night I was so exhausted. Woke up around 1am and then woke up again around 5am. Finally got up at 6:30am. So weird, but I do have tons of work. So I'll run around here for a bit and then go read for my second class at 2pm. Thank whatever stroke of luck canceled my 11am class that I would have been completely unprepared for. ^_^))
