Blood Status: Muggleborn Wand: Inflexible//13 inches//Laurel//Dragon Heartstring Current Age: 11 Year at Hogwarts: 1st year
Forget Astronomy... I think I hate this class for the professor Ronna came in half expecting another sign to tell her the class was canceled again when it wasn't there she smiled and opened the large door but her smile dropped as she entered. The air felt heavy. It was like a morgue. She rolled her eyes and thought, Just because it is History doesn't mean you have to make it boring and gloomy. She scanned the class there was the fussy Victor from Hufflepuff and the nice girl Nessa who took a liking to Quinn. She decided to sit next to Nessa, the girl would be a calming presence, wouldn't get her in trouble (like Miranda might), and Sergio might not pull one of his weird greetings she still hadn't figured out. She sat down beside Nessa gave a small nod, quickly pulled out her text book, parchment, and quill and began to scribble notes. The Professor, Professor Agnar Bjelke, began by speaking about the founders of Hogwarts, all a quick read through A Hogwarts, A History had picked up for Ronna but she perked up more on the modern history. The best way to learn about modern history is someone who lived it. She recognized the name Harry Potter and Voldemort and frowned as the professor casually mentioned them. When the professor gave the homework Ronna didn't even bother groaning and wrote a name boldly on her paper: Salzar Slytherin. It would be interesting to write about one of the founding fathers of the blood feud of this 'pure blood' rubbish that Ronna still didn't fully grasp. Two birds with one stone, right? After he took a seat toward the front of the class, avoiding the front only because the professor was a bit unnerving, Quinn listened curiously to the lecture given and took notes on what the homework was meant to be. Who should he write about..? He didn't want to be overly typical and do Gryffindor. Though he was exceptionally curious to learn about his House founder, considering he was now a part of his legacy - wasn't he? Noting down the names of all of the House founders to choose later, he took another scan through the first chapter of their class book and stayed relatively quiet. He wasn't sure what it was he was going to do. All of it was fascinating to him. He could be an over-achiever and write about all of them - then choose the best? But that was a lot of work... And he was definitely no Ravenclaw.

Sariwa Harris
| First year | Hufflepuff | Muggleborn | ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Sariwa looked around the classroom trying to find a seat as far from the teacher as possible. She was already quite shy with teachers and this one certainly did not seem nice. She took a seat next to the Gryffindoor boy called Quinn. She didn't say anything to him, though. The teacher told them about the history of Hogwarts and she found it quite interesting. As the teacher told them what they had to write about she decided to write about Rowena Ravenclaw since she had found her very interesting when she had skimmed trough 'Hogwarts: A History'.

ᵞᵋᶳₑᶮᵢₐ ♭ ᶴᵤᶵᵣᵢᵡ First Year ø Slytherin ø Muggleborn "Music is easy and simple, you don't have to worry about things like betrayal." ♮ Yesenia sat off to the side when she entered the classroom. She hoped to avoid any clashes that might happen between the students like it had in the past by sitting towards the side, though whether this would be successful or not was another story. The classroom was kind of bland and the teacher didn't seem nearly as eager as some of her earlier ones. But, yet again, she could care less whether this fellow actually liked his job or not, as long as he got the job done. He certainly didn't waste time with introductions. He went strait into the lesson, which suited Senia just fine. As soon as he started she started scribbling down notes.
Hogwarts 9th~10th century; Founders - Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, Salazar Slytherin. Teach w/o fear o/prosecution. Slytherin wanted only Purebloods, others didn't agree, he left the school. Triwizard Tournament started 13th century: Hogwarts, Durmstrang, and Beauxbatons. Ended six centuries afterwards b/c of resulting deaths and injuries, all attempts to restart have failed. Hogwarts previous centuries events; Voldemort learned here, Harry Potter defeated him in the battle for the school. Recent attempt site of the Triwizard tournament, still major magic school.
Once he finished his lecture, he gave them their homework, so below her notes she started writing again. Homework: Essay, 10 inches in length on one of founders. Rowena Ravenclaw or Salazar Slytherin. She sat back and looked up to see if that was all, and who else had made it to class. ♯ "But in life, your best friends can end up as your worst enemies."

And we both go down together...we'd stay there forever...just try to get up Sergio Mourinho Di Maria Slytherin♽Pureblood♽Eleven I always sing you sad songs...and you can sing along...and you can see your melody is calling out your wrongs. Sergio walked into class, thinking there might be another sign at the door saying that it was cancelled, but fortunately, there wasn't. So, despite his disappointment, he walked into the class and sat down by himself, awaiting the boring lecture that would be following any introduction. It seemed to come early. The teacher started talking and he just rolled his eyes. He didn't feel like doing this. He knew history. Its been drilled in his head ever since he was about 4 years old. It almost sucked. I never told you everything. Your losing hope and fading dreams and every single memory along the way And I'm sorry, this wasn't easy...I ask you believe me...and never let go

Not exactly thrilled to hear that they had found a last minute teacher for the History of Magic class, Hayden slipped through the door with an utter lack of emotion evident on her pale, but precious face, and seated herself carefully at a desk in the back corner.
Judging by the look on the professor's face, she could tell he meant business. With a roll of her eyes she tugged a new notebook from her book bag, along with a self-inking quill, and began to copy down a very brief summary of the lecture the old man had to offer.

Gypsy sighed, not overly happy to see that their History lesson was no longer being cancelled for the week. Seriously, they couldn't get a professor in time for the first week of lessons, but they had to fill the position before they'd gotten to skip half the year? Uncool. She'd really been looking forward to the free time. She took a seat separate from the others, not seeing anyone in class she cared to sit with just yet. The twins hadn't made an appearance, and neither had Jer, the blonde Slytherin she was oh, so intrigued by. She pulled out a piece of parchment, sort of seriously intending to take notes, but when the lecture was done, the page was almost entirely covered in doodles and sketches. She sighed. At least she could muddle through them. And she'd never have to worry about anyone copying off of her. She sighed, glaring about the assignment. A paper? Really? If the guy didn't care enough to have discussions or answer questions in class, she seriously doubted he cared even half as much as he'd need to in order to read and grade their papers. She sighed... to write it, or not to write it? She didn't really want to bother, fairly certain the professor would probably just glance at her page to see how much had been written and grade it off of that. No way he'd really read it, or even skim it. But... she'd already gotten one detention, and she was supposed to be trying to be a good student, right? So, she glared down at her parchment, writing a quick essay on Rowena Ravenclaw. She was the founder Gypsy knew the most about, really, being the founder of the house her parents had been in before her. She might have expected to be a Gryffindor, but she'd been prepared to be a Ravenclaw. She wrote the paper, glaring the whole time, satisfied that it at least looked long enough to receive a decent grade. She could certainly write better than that, but whatever. It was just a bunch of facts, a biography. Not much room for good writing there. Just repeat what you know.

Mama told me not to waste my life She said spread your wings my little butterfly Don't let what they say keep you up at night And if they give you trouble Then they can walk on by My feet, feet can't touch the ground And I can't hear a sound But you just keep on running up your mouth yeah Walk, walk on over there 'Cause I'm too fly to care, oh yeah Jessamine Cathlin Walsh ~ Halfblood Hufflepuff ~ First Year ~ Twin ~ {feeling: moody} {thinking: what a nasty man...} {with: Gypsy} {at: History of Magic} Jess waltzed in and sat down next to Gypsy, determined to not let the creepy atmosphere or jerky professor get to her. She could tell he was an old git, just by looking at him. Sometimes you could just feel the nastiness radiating off people. She kept her big mouth closed and pretended to take notes. This guy was just reciting stuff from the textbook, and obviously didn't care about his class. She began to write a half hearted essay on Helga Hufflepuff, but wasn't going to make herself really work on it. He didn't have her respect, and she sure wasn't going to try if even the professor didn't give a rat's arse about his own class. It doesn't matter if I fall from the sky. Your words don't mean a thing I'm not listening Keep talking, all I know is Mama told me not to waste my life, She said spread your wings my little butterfly Don't let what they say keep you up at night And they can't detain you 'Cause wings are made to fly And we don't let nobody bring us down No matter what you say – it won't hurt me

The cycle repeated As explosions broke in the sky All that I needed Was the one thing I couldn't find The colors conflicted As the flames climbed into the clouds. I wanted to fix this But couldn't stop from tearing it down. Tobias Philemon Walsh - Halfblood Gryffindor - First Year - Twin - [feeling: annoyed] [thinking: ugh...] [with: first years] [at: History of Magic] Toby resisted the urge to sigh heavily as the professor droned on while simultaneously glaring at them. For the love of- they were students, not Azkaban inmates! He ended up doodling dragons on his paper, breathing fire onto his notes. He rolled his eyes a little at the order to write an essay, and began one on Godric Gryffindor, spelling things wrong on purpose. Read it and weep, old man.So... Can we set something on fire now? And you were there at the turn Caught in the burning glow And I was there at the turn Waiting to let you know We're building it up To break it back down We're building it up To burn it down

Walking into class, Lindsay found an old man. He seemed rather grouchy and a bit intimidating, and so the boy quietly took his seat, figuring this was one of those sorts of professors it would be best to stay quiet around. The boy was surprised that he got straight to the lesson. It was on the founders of Hogwarts, it made sense, but the Ravenclaw could have sworn that everyone already knew that.
Lindsay Hay Rowena Ravenclaw Rowena Ravenclaw was one of the four founders of Hogwarts, and one of the houses that students are sorted into bears her name. She prided herself on having bright, clever, and witty students, as well as those who had a thirst for learning. Her daughter, Helena was inevitably placed into the house she founded and after her death became known as the Grey Lady, or the Ghost of Ravenclaw Tower. Her emblem uses an eagle, not a raven, as many people mistake it to be with colors of blue and bronze. Rowena Ravenclaw left a diadem as her relic, and for the longest time it was lost to time until Harry Potter found it during the Battle of Hogwarts. At that time, it was a horcrux for Lord Voldemort and was destroyed in order for the Dark Lord to be vanquished.

Amory Goodwin First Year ~~~~ Slytherin House ~~~~~ Eleven Years Old ~~~~History of Magic It appeared that they now had a professor for the History of Magic class. It would seem Mory had to change what she studied when again, since it wasn't a free period anymore. She entered the class, taking note the unfriendly vibe the professor gave, but taking a seat none the less. She listened and scribbled notes as he began his lecture. For her assigned homework she would pick her house's founder, even if she had already heard his story. She did her research and scribbled her findings on the parchment. Amory Goodwin 'Salazar Slytherin, one of the four founding members and founder of the Slytherin house. He believed in the importants of pure blood lines. He also prized resourceful, cunning, ambitious, and clever students. He was the creator of the Chamber of Secrets where he kept a basilisk which he commanded through his ability to speak Parseltongue.' ((OOC: Figured that'd leave a lot of room for others to add more information in if they wanted to write too.))

I have screamed until my veins collapsed I've waited as my time's elapsedNow, all I do is live with so much hate I've wished for this, I've bitched at that I've left behind this little fact: You cannot kill what you did not create I've gotta say what I've gotta say And then I swear I'll go away But I can't promise you'll enjoy the noise. Dmitri hadn’t been at all enticed in the prospect of house points for the brood of snakes, in fact, knowing he hadn’t docked any points yet was more than enough of a contribution he was ever willing to make. It was ridiculous, really, to force the students to band together like a family when they didn’t even know each other. When it was practically chosen by random! As if there was nothing better than a hat that could have done the sorting. He rolled his eyes as he rolled up the sleeves of his robes. It was hot in here — merlin, winter can’t come any sooner. Beside him, Hayden seemed just as enthused, maybe even less, than he was (and that was a feat in itself.) And idly, he wondered how his brother, Rurik, was.
We’re never who we say we are.

And you can tell everybody, this is your song, It may be quite simple but, now that it's done...
... I hope you don't mind ....
... I hope you don't mind that I put down in words How wonderful life is while you're in the world ℳιяαηđα ✧ ℱαusт 1st Year [ x ] ✦ Gryffindor ✦ Itching to Cause Trouble ✦ History Class ✦ With the First Years `•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´`•.¸¸.•´´¯`••.¸¸.•´´¯`•´ • Nam et ipsa scientia potestas est. • There was nothing like the feeling of disappointment when Miranda checked the History Classroom door to find that there was going to be class today. With a deep sigh, Miranda decided to sit in the back corner of the room. And then there was the Professor... Miranda wasn't sure whether to laugh or cry about their crabby old substitute. It was like muggle school all over again. She sat with her chair on two legs and her feet on the desk, resisting the urge to torment the man with some foolish prank. Whoever invented the house point system was a genius, Miranda didn't want to bear the guilt of losing points for her House. No, she'd resist... for now. With a sigh, Miranda began to scribble something on a piece of paper. If it was an essay he wanted, then by all means, she'd give him one.
Salazar Slytherin was this fellow who founded Hogwarts with three other people. He was all 'purebloods rule' but the other founders were like 'no way man everyone with magic powers should be allowed in' and so he got all wound up like a proper child and left forever. The end, written so eloquently by yours truly.
Miranda snickered at her final product. This would do. Sliding it at the bottom of the pile on the Professor's desk, Miranda then sped out of the class, wanting to get away from the old man as soon as possible. ╰☆╮ ˙ʇsǝ sɐʇsǝʇod ɐıʇuǝıɔs ɐsdı ʇǝ ɯɐᴎ ╭☆╯

Eleanora McKenny Hufflepuff First Year
Nora quickly sat down when she came into the classroom, mere moments from being late to a class again. She dutifully took notes like most of the other students, but her idea of the class sunk with each word the professor uttered. 'It's nice that we get right down to learning,' she thought, 'but he seems so...abrasive.' Her mouth twisted itself into a small frown when the homework was given. 'I know a lot already about Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, thanks to mum and dad....I think I'll do either Gryffindor of Slytherin.' she thought, scribbling down the outline for her essay as the lecture ended.

----------- First year ----------- Muggle born ----------- Gryffindor ----------- Beatrice was just silently sitting quietly and listened to the professor talk. His accent was similar, though not Identical, to that of her mother and maternal grandparents so it wasn’t that difficult for her to understand. It was one she’s heard before, during her trips to visit her relatives in Sweden, Norwegian she believed. Briefly the blond shook her head and returned to focusing on what he was lecturing about. The founders of Hogwarts. She didn’t say anything just let her quill drift across the paper making notes about the founders. Finally Professor Bjelke dismissed them with the instruction of writing a 10 inch essay on one of the founders. She looked over the notes debating who she’d write about before packing up and heading out. Probably Rowena Ravenclaw she sounded interesting.
