Staring at the projectors, Marosa slumped against his seat and put his jaw in his hand. He winced again, hissing low before re-positioning his hand to the other side.

If only he'd had a different form, and hadn't been a Gancanagh, perhaps things would have been far easier.... but he had to deal with what he had.

Silent, Marosa pulled out his notebook and scribbled in it, writing down notes. Might as well learn something from this.

At the word fire, Andrew perked up. Humans were afraid of fire? He was fire, it was good to know that humans would be equally terrified of him as undead were. He wondered if he could use that to his advantage. And then he saw the slide. Yeah…. He was nowhere near as impressive as that. Jack he was even smaller than the human. Though he wondered what the three classification of fear were now. Darn it and missing classes.

Then Selene went off on a tangent, as did his brain. He listened idly and she baby talked the human and looked at the next slide, another example of something much scarier than himself. One who looked oddly like that mini from the booth. He’d be willing to place a bet they were the same person. He’d seen a raven turn into a snake, and gained all kinds of odd limbs, he wouldn’t be surprised if the correlation was more than superficial.

Bored… he pulled out some crackers from his pocket and started to nibble on them.

Miasma's head snapped up as the professor called for their attention, and almost bounced in her seat with excitement as the professor stated she would be moving onto the information part. FINALLY. Drawing was nice and all, but she came to learn. She hardly saw how she'd be able to do that with crayons.

Sliding the sheet to the top corner of her desk, she pulled out her haunted book and pen-strictor, rapt attention on the screen before her.
She had, unfortunately, missed the professor's first class (Darn, fear was so interesting to learn about!), but she made a face when the teacher mentioned fire. Ugh, burning to death was one thing, but what about CLOTHES?
The memory of Andrew singeing her shawl flashed across her mind, and she gritted her teeth, grip on the pen-strictor tightening, causing the poor creature to hiss in pain.

Though, the anger slowly ebbed away as the image of Professor Byrn came on the screen, and she stared at the phoenix in awe.
How beautiful! How majestic! How... awfully familiar-looking. Why did she feel like she had seen-

When the next image came up, she only stared.
That... was...
SURELY she had seen THAT one somewhere.
Um, um, what was it...
"Those two looked a lot like the minipets at that dart booth during Scarentines..."
Dart boo- WAIT WHAT?!
She nearly dropped her pen in shock.
But, but... how in the world...

The slide was whipped away, and Miasma blinked, looking down at her notebook to notice that she hadn't written anything down yet.
Jack!

The next few minutes were filled with feverish scribbling to write down all the information she learned.

Was there a class? Sura didn't know that.

Which might have been why she was late and also why she didn't care as she lumbered down and took a seat as..discreetly..as she could. Whoops.

Sibyl blinked. Where to get food... "You like your food cooked.." Sibyl mused quietly, rubbing her chin. He liked it cooked, she didn't care one way or the other, and he didn't seem to like fish or something she wasn't sure. "I don't know..we could find a place to make food for us?" A restaurant, perhaps.

Gabriel's answer to her question about the crayons was weird. Boils were weird. Did he really find crayons sexy? O..okay...

She'd support him.

"Is it your ghoulfriend?" Sibyl said this with a straight face, making it difficult to tell if she was joking or not.

Amarus had, indeed, been under the effects of a very harsh sugarhigh when she'd talked to Rosy and co. previously. She did, however, start paying attention momentarily to say: "Firecrackers? Zel will not let me risk hurting students with those," followed by a grimace of displeasure. The grimace, however, merely masked the fact she was probably certain someone needed to stand up to her.

She nodded her head at Enzo, the corner of her mouth curling upwards. She winked at him, so quickly that it seemed like it may not have happened at all. In her head, she pictured ratbirds and narcotics empires. Oh, imagination.

Even though Amarus was subdued compared to the last time she'd seen Olivia, she was still very happy to see the ghoul in class, waving at her. Amarus nodded back, her standard, and smiled at the ghoul. She tried to indicate she'd have to come chat with her later; part of her was surprised to see Olivia, as if that had been some kind of dream. It still felt weird to know that she'd made it there, but Faustus hadn't, but Amarus was very happy to see Olivia no matter what. And Jack help anyone who messed with the new ghoul; Amarus'd have it in for them in a heartbeat. If she had a heart.

Amarus was very content to be hugged by Kettil, and she kept holding on while he ruffled her hair and mentioned Freya had something to attend to. "We should all go out sometime," Amarus suggested, accompanied by a wicked smile and a glint in her eyes. It was like a part of her that had been sleeping had woken up, finally; it only showed when she was around the ones she cared for, however. Anyone else got treated to her old poker-faced coldness.

She did feel the tug on her hand, that he'd like her to come sit, and glanced at Zel out of the corner of her eye. She smiled at him, but the look in her expression was an unyielding one; this was Kettil, and he didn't have to worry. Amarus would rather dissipate a hundred times over before even thinking about getting in the way of Freya and Kettil. She loved them both to pieces.

Amarus hugged Kettil hard one more time before letting go. "Freya is a force to be reckoned with," Amarus agreed with Kettil, punching him lightly on the shoulder. She returned to Zel, pressed her cheek against his as if communicating that she cared for him, so he shouldn't worry.

The slides started, and Amarus reluctantly took a seat, though she dragged a chair over so she could sit next to Zel. Desks? Ffft. She wouldn't be taking notes. As the room was filled with visions of a gorgeous bird, Amarus found herself mesmerized: she really did love birds, and this one was both impressive and beautiful. The description was making her faintly jealous of those with natural forms.

She was grateful for the distraction as a paper ball flew at her head. She unfolded it, stifling laughter with her hand as she read the note. She nudged Zel, "Can I borrow something to write with?" and, either having been graciously lent something from her boilfriend or having (stealthily? yeah right) 'borrowed' a writing implement from one of her neighbours, Amarus pressed the note to her thigh and wrote back:

My pretty face won't do much from here,
but take this (; Enjoy.

She reached into her inner robe and removed one of the small vials, about as long and as thick as a third of a standard pencil might be. It contained a purple-pink liquid that, when uncorked, would smell faintly sweet. Smoke curled at the top of the vial, under the stopper. She wrapped the note around it, looked for who she knew must have sent the note, and then slid it across the floor to him with a wicked grin.

Out of boredom, or perhaps out of malice (it was never particularly clear which of the two motivated her) Amarus started throwing very tiny pieces of paper at a ghoul who looked like any disruption in her appearance would be distressing. She was very pretty, in other words. And Amarus was making this stolen handout last. Especially since the ghoul in question, Miasma, seemed to be very involved in taking notes. How dare anyone learn during class?

Even though Amarus was completely harmless to the demon sitting beside her. She even, occasionally, slipped one leg closer to press into his reassuringly.

A nervously returning rat, still wary of the teacher, scooped the little vial up and leaped onto Enzo's lap, saving him the give-away of bending down for the thing himself.

He glanced back over his shoulder as he uncorked the classy little vial to shoot his friend a wide grin and returning wink.

Yes, this would make this useless class a lot more fun, and his seat, at least, a lot more inviting for this boring lecture.

Having finished her notes, Miasma dropped the pen-strictor, flexing her wrist.
Jack, these notes were so ugly... she was going to need to take time to fix these up later.

She paused, staring at the notebook, and was about to reach for her pen again when she felt something hit the back of her head.
Thinking it was Andrew, she grit her teeth, deciding to ignore the obnoxious boil, but when she continued to be assaulted by pieces of paper (from the looks of it, the handout they were given...), she slammed her hands on the desk in frustration.

Pestering her during class was one thing, but tearing up the assignment sheet that the professor asked them to hand in after class? UNACCEPTABLE.

She whirled around, a wad of paper in her hand, about to toss it at his face, when she noticed he was... eating crackers? And it looked like he still had his handout on his desk. So who...

Her eyes fell on the ghoul with pink hair, who seemed to be holding on to a part of a torn handout.
Was she the assailant? But... she didn't even KNOW this ghoul! Though she sort of wish she did. What a fabulous outfit. And those BELLS.

Holding up a piece of the paper the ghoul had thrown at her, Miasma arched an eyebrow, and pointed at it, mouthing out the words "Did you throw this?"

Leaning back in her seat as the projector slides went up, Poke seemed quite interested in looking at some of the natural forms displayed on the screen. So that was how big these professors were? She frowned, knowing her own was far from that size. At the moment she was barely bigger then a large horse. She may as well be a ant compared to these guys.

Feeling slightly jealous, the dragon ghoul stiffed a yawn as Selene struggled to quieten down the class as she spoke.

Jason meanwhile, was on the verge of a nervous breakdown as the room went dark and they started viewing slides of enormous creatures. These things were the 'professors'?! The people teaching this school?!?!

He couldn't fight something that large! The last time he even dared had him passing out cold from the shock. And that wa sonly one, there were MORE of them?!! Franticly he looked around at the class, afraid that the students here were suddenly going to transform and maul him to death.

And then Selene said they were going to 'meet', one of these people.

He almost started crying, but instead sat there and just shook from pure terror.

When Amarus pressed her cheek to his any and all potential jealousy that boiled under his skin vaporized and vanished the instant she touched him. What had he been worrying about anyway? Chuckling he let her go simply and let her do her thing, A part of his mind said he should probably try to curtail her activities, especially when the vial went rolling across the floor.

But why? This was what he enjoyed about her - her raw abandon and complete flouting of the rules - doing what he couldn't really bring himself to do... At least not yet.

He smiled at Kettil, any and all ill-will forgotten. Anyone who was a friend of Amarus, was okay in his book - even an potential friend, so if Amarus wanted to hang out with him and his ghoul sometime as a couple... Well he could be okay with that. "That might be rather fun," he chuckled bowing his head toward the reaper. "I mean, if you're up for that?"

He'd handed her one of his spare pens without question, his dominant hand already scribbling down notes that would - for all intents and purposes - serve for both him and Amarus, so he was trying to capture as much information as he could. He also noted that she stared extra long at the slide with the bird formed professor on it, that was good information to keep in mind.

As she pressed her leg into his, his tail snaked around between them and wrapped around her leg. Not enough to restrict her motion, if she moved away from him it would simply uncoil and let her go - but more to let her know that he felt her and he appropriated the contact.

Even if it seemed like he was ignoring her to focus on the notes. As soon as there was a lull he put his pen down and leaned over and rubbed her leg with his hand.

"You can borrow my notes later," he murmured to her matter of factually, keeping his voice just loud enough to hear. "Or you know... we can study together and I can... 'help' with your homework..."

--

Darren nodded slowly and shut his mouth, and attempted to take notes. He shot a few glances to his sister weakly and attempted to suppress a whimper. He couldn't keep track of all this information - or even write it down...

Finally he just gave up, closed the notebook and put the pen down, and just watched the slides instead.

Was Sibyl actually playing along with this ridiculous notion? Gabby snickered at her response, clearly approving of how she was taking it. "Oh, you bet." He put the naked crayon down on the desk and made it 'walk' around. "Her name is uh.. Violet." The crayon was black. "And we're going out on a date tonight. But she's got to go get waxed first." He nudged his elbow at Sibyl. "Get it? Waxed? Crayon?"

He was so jack-damned funny.

Sibyl pursed her lips and just watched Gabby and his 'ghoulfriend' Violet. She needed to get waxed...

At the nudging she kept herself completely stone-faced, trying really hard not to giggle and smile. Instead she took the crayon from Gabby, holding it up close and picking up her pen to start carving something. She was very concentrated on her task until she finally set Miss Violet down in front of Gabby again.

Miss Violet now had as good of a face as Sibyl could carve with her pen tip. It wasn't much, really. Eyes and an attempt at a kissy lip.

"Now she's pretty for your date! But I thought you were supposed to wait until after courting to undress her." Sibyl pouted. Everyone kept breaking the rules around here.

Wait, what was she..

Doing..

When Sibyl put the carved crayon back on her desk, Gabby let out a rather pathetic sound. He was trying to keep his laughter in, and it ended up sounding like a strangled cry. But in the end, he reached over and picked up the crayon, biting his lip to keep from laughing.

"I changed my mind, Sibyl." He whispered, pressing his thumb against the crayon until it cracked in half. "I'm breaking up with her."

Tybalt watched, quietly for once, as the slides lit up the room. It was interesting to see the school staff in their natural forms and the size of them was rather impressive even. But not enough to motivate him to actually take notes. Instead, he sat at his desk, chin resting on his hand while he tried to imagine the day either of the two molted or shed and how much of a mess they would made.
