l-Kriel-l Zephyrkitty l-Kriel-l Aaahhhh, no class today. Usually on mondays I have class non-stop from 11:50 to 7:15. I think I might watch some animu today. I downloaded a bunch of stuff last night. Sword of the Stranger, Arrietty UK dub, Mobile Police Patlabor... Also I think my respect for my roommate was destroyed with six words. "What About Bob, which I hated..." NO. NO NO NO THAT IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE MOVIES NO SHUT UP If you follow Patlabor up with the movies, the first two LEs are really cheap right now. I know 'paying for animu LOL', but they each come with a disc of extras, a storyboard book and another 100+ page book of art and information about the movie. I'm waiting for the second to ship, but the first movie is easily one of the nicest releases I own. heart I still need to see Arrietty. Maybe I'll get a friend to go see it with me or something. I do support paying for anime, but at the same time I'd rather download it to see if I like it before shelling out money for it. I'm four episodes into the first OVA so far. The franchise seems manageably short. I think what drove me to it was I.G., Sunrise, Madhouse, and a lot of involvement by Oshii. Not only three of my favorite studios, but the director of the only anime movie I've ever gone out of my way to buy. Also, damn, those are cheap. I'll keep those pages in mind. I can understand that. I blind-buy more than I probably should, but if I can check something out first I'd rather go that route. If it's really good, they'll get my money anyway. xd I haven't gotten a chance to check out the TV or OVA series yet, but Oshii's involvement was the main reason I wanted to check out the franchise. I hadn't even looked at the price of the OVA releases before now; I'll probably have to get those through the library. gonk
