[Kegan] Xilo The Odd [Kegan] Trenn Flashkill Grats. Yesterday I ate a steak from a cow someone else slaughtered. Who cares? To write off a game because there is no "THE END" is silly. What's the end goal of TF2? What's the point to Smash Bros.? It's about playing with people. It's fine to just not "get it." The thing is that you're claiming that people who do love the game are lying and delusional. That's ******** narrow-minded and retarded. I can say the same thing about gardening. Which I did. And will do again. Gardening is for queers. It's not the lack of an end, it's the lack of a goal other than getting to grind more. Grinding to grind. The MMO genre itself is rife with abuse of artificial length, which is used to prolong the least pleasurable parts of the game. Don't you think that's stacking bad game design on top of bad game design? In TF2 I'm doing the same s**t over and over, but it's the good s**t. getting shot by aimbot and wall hackers? What are you, some kind of guy who is a scrub? nah its jsut the fact that TF2 is free to play now, banned for hacking? NO PROB! make a new account exclusivly for TF2, it get banned? MAKE A NEW ONE! continue your hacking and making the game unfun for others and infinitely enjoyable at the rage seething at yourself! just sayin.

Not going to dispute that. My problem isn't that you think the game stinks. My problem is that you think anyone who does like it is wrong.

When I ask people why they enjoy WoW, their reasons usually aren't gameplay related.
I'm sorry that I made a sweeping generalization, but I'm not sure one should expect anything better in a video game forum. Relatively speaking, I'm a magnanimous ******** here: I've never even had enough interest to start an account for WoW specifically. It's not as if I haven't done the research, though, and it's certainly not as though I haven't invested any wasted time in MMORPGs.
A man says he hates the texture of lettuce, and I won't mock him for passing on salad. I'm not a big salad man myself.

What I like about WoW is its universe. I enjoy its persistence. I enjoy the character growth. It's a great feeling when you level a character to max. It's a great feeling to gear through heroics enough to finally queue for the LFR. I enjoy learning the fights. I enjoy learning my class. I enjoy seeing my DPS go up week after week because of that. I enjoy PVP. Standing toe to toe with others in an arena because of the gear I've earned, the knowledge I've gained and the skills I've honed is a great feeling. That's why I like it. Why I love it is because I can enjoy all of that with my friends.
I'm sure most people do not agree with me, but I'm also sure you'd find a lot of people do. You don't have to understand why we are excited about our little panda expansion. Just understand that we are.

I like reading up on the subject, learning the dynamics of plants and soil, and having knowledge of a conspicuous secret world. I enjoy watching the labor I put in transform into something over time. Putting many small investments in over a long period of time and watching it grow. Having it become easier year after year, as the slow process of conditioning the soil naturally takes it's course. Then, assuming nothing terrible happens, I get to do my favorite thing: Eat vegetables.
You don't have to understand why I love vegetables. Just understand that I do.

You don't have to defend your veggies. I don't actually think you're a queer for liking to garden. I was just proving a point. You however actually think I'm fooling myself into liking WoW.

I just think it's a shame that there are not as many good games with similar high fantasy aesthetics and social potential.
I'll probably be playing Diablo 3 when it comes out.
I don't remember artificial length in the first 2, but I was 10 when I played them, so who knows.
