It just needs to have one game that makes me go, "I NEED a Wii U!"
Rayman Legends is this game for me.

Basically.

I don't know what I expected.

I don't know why I would expect anything different.

I feel like a spoiled brat for complaining about and not being satisfied with video games. I used to happily just play anything. I'd adore every single game on my Genesis, because they were all video games, and video games are inherently awesome because you can (almost magically!) control the character on the screen, and what happens revolves around the choices you make. Way more exciting than a TV show. And not everyone gets to play them.

ZombiU is apparently a reboot of this. I had no idea!

And now I'm basically turned off of buying a WiiU.

Quote:
User-to-user interactions on the Wii U's Miiverse social platform will go through three layers of moderation before arriving at their destination, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata told Hero Complex today.

Nintendo boasted that the system would finally provide the strong social experience of the Xbox 360 and PSN during its E3 press conference. However, the company's methods for keeping messages clean are a little extreme: Any message posted must pass through an automatic language filter, a human moderator review from Nintendo "human resources" and, finally, a peer review from the recipient.

When asked how long this process would take, Iwata said the company would have a clearer idea as Miiverse is shaped by feedback, but specified, "I think 30 minutes should be acceptable."

The logistics are staggering to think about, but it's just the latest effort in Nintendo's history of protecting its underage audience at the expense of the convenience of its adults. The oft-decried Friend Code system received similar complaints, and prevented both the DS and Wii from developing cohesive online multiplayer experiences.

If you were going to try to sell me on a new system with one game, your best chances would be Pikmin 3 or Persona 5. So that's certainly a point in Nintendo's favor.

It'll depend on the price of the Wii U, though. Hopefully we hear something soon.

the game comin out soon caught my eye, pokemon conquest. i've always said Tactics was the one thing not in other pokemon games. now if they can just put in all pokemon not just select popular ones, with a good portion of the moves in the normal game, it could be a good change of pace.

I haven't played much of the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series, but isn't that also a strategy RPG?

Serebii has a list of the pokémon available. You can't get everyone, but there's a decent pool to choose from.
Mystery Dungeon is classified more as a Roguelike. Conquest appears to basically be FFTA with Pokemon so I need like eight copies.

There will hopefully be private messaging to friends that doesn't undergo filtering. I imagine that sort of thing is what I would use over Twitter anyway.
