I probably would have waited even longer to get it if the Club Nintendo year end wasn't looming.
Probably a dumb reason to get a game, but it's a good game. I'm already through the jungle. This is really a throwback. Even the title theme is. The title screen itself was a little disappointing somehow, though. Weird that I'd care.

[Kegan] Xilo The Odd i hope they will reconsider online for pikmin 3. i mean, keeping track of 100 pikmin and any number of enemies isn't impossible, MH tri managed to pull it off in a non annoying way. the big stuff is activly synced between all players and the small stuff isn't activly location tracked, just if its alive or dead. and it works just fine with little to 0 lag. Actively Also, MH3 had a 4 player per game limit. You couldn't even be in a city with more than 4 people. (Remember all those times you were going to be part of a group of four and then some stranger would just show up?) Now, the wii has a lot less processing power than the WiiU will, and that means a lot, but the comparison to monster hunter makes little sense, because you never, that I can think of will have more than 10 moving entities, and 4 of those don't have any AI. For pikmin 3 it's 4 players and ALL OF THEIR PIKUMINU I'm not saying it can't be made to work; I'm just saying the comparison is a bit daft. well from the sound of the wiiu it'll have the power to be able to do online for pikmin 3, they just need to limit the total world pikmin count to 100 just like they did for pikmin 2's co-op. vs i don't know about though as i played only a few times and found it a little boring.

Left 4 Dead 2 keeps track of four players and any number of zombies. It easily reaches or gets very close to 100 zombies. It's not impossible by any stretch of the imagination.

Players don't have any ai, but yeah, I kinda have half suspected that Miyamoto doesn't really know anything about hardware capabilities for a while now.
He's a fine designer and all, but he requires younger people to do the footwork for him. I don't think he's ever really been a technology guy.
