That's the one where you need purple pikmin, but there's water everywhere... isn't it? Laaaaawl. You don't need them. It's still a load of s**t, either way. If you don't have them the roller guy kills all your little dudes, though. He's invincible. Purple Pikmin can stun him when he's in the invincible form. Yeah, but you don't get any until the boss floor. I had to avoid him whenever he appeared on the other floors.

Waynebrizzle Unless you mean the white pikmin. I do need them. Don't bring 100 blue pikmin (or kill off a few and make some space in your party; it's not too difficult with the Waterwraith running around). There are several bulbmin in Submerged Castle, and they're immune to all hazards. Then turn as many of them as you can into purples and whites because they can't leave the cave you find them in.

So I went to the first day of the 3 day glaze workshop which I'm taking. The instructor shows us this book of cool glaze recipes and then showed us the tiles she had and they were almost nothing like they were in the book. Then she explained that basically our kiln probably couldn't make any of the stuff in the book.
I understand that this class was dumped into her lap after the last person bailed, but I can't help but feel a bit underwhelmed. She's nice enough, though. She's bringing in all the supplies from her own studio which seems super generous to me. Ergo she's okay in my book.
It'll be nice to just learn proper glaze mixing and get some info on the basic mechanics of it. There was one glaze, not in the book that she seemed to have a lot more luck with in an uncontrolled cooling, and I'm excited to do it. I need to start teaching myself the specifics of the chemistry of this. Most of the artists have a vague if any understanding of this stuff.
If I could make some really rad glazes I'd be hella happy with myself. If I could formulate them completely solo and know the meaningfulness of everything I was doing? I'd be considering a career.

I don't know how many times I had to reset because of a pikmin getting zapped. scream Wistful Wild has some difficult spots, but at least all of the bosses stay on one sublevel and you can bring whatever pikmin you want to all of the caves. I'd recommend finishing up the other areas first though. One of the aboveground treasures in WW requires 100 purples, and the caves in the area reuse several bosses from other areas (not the Waterwraith though, thank goodness for that). It also means that you'd have all of the power-ups for WW. Also, at some point you'll run into a weird mechanical monster that tries to shoot you if you get too close. Either kill it while it's petrified so it doesn't leave a corpse, or get the corpse back to the ship/onions as fast as you can because it regenerates health if it's left alone for too long. gonk Spotty bulbears do the same thing, but I'm guessing that you've already run into one of them already. Everything else stays dead.

Now the choice of boss themes makes sense, though, blue contains only levels where Protoman isn't there. "Walk away from Light" is snake man not shadow man, now that I actually pay attention to it.

They kind of look like mecha fish, right? I've got plenty of bitter spray, at least. Sounds like I might want to go grinding for some more pikmin and whatnot.
