[Kegan] I think I'm gonna start teaching myself some 3D rendering tools that aren't Google Sketchup. I kinda wanna submit stuff to the steam workshop. 3DSMax would be a good start. its pretty user friendly. it will take some learnin to do the really neat stuff.

F U David, Kirby Dumbland is wonderful crying Especially 3 flsdfjlka
I am excited to play Wario Land though. I'd missed out on like every good GB game that wasn't Pokemon and it seems like Wario's one of the better classics I missed.
Also maybe there's gonna be a TF2 cartoon on adult swim or something o_O

Ancient stone tablets and "remix" are actually SNES-satellaview games.
They could only be played during the times when the broadcast was going out. How does your rom simulate this? Does it have the live recordings of the script?

Does it have the live recordings of the script? Yeah, rom hackers have pieced together most of that. Since the recordings were done live, no public files exist for them, but subtitles were put in in their place. The timer is simulated exactly as it would be during the broadcast. They also let you choose your avatar and name at the beginning. It's all done really well.

That's neat. How is the actual game, though?

They're good. Because of the nature of a broadcast, they're short games, but a lot of content was put into them. Besides I'm a sucker for seeing a new game use the same overworld as the original.
I'm going to finish aLttP before I completely play through, though.

So you have a real soft spot for recycled assets?
I guess maybe I do too, since I love Majora's Mask.

They're actually pretty consistent parallels.
ALttP and OoT both have two worlds in them, the Light and Dark Words, and Young and Adult Link's Worlds.
MM and AST both have a clock, where NPC's move and story events are triggered depending on the time.
It's not at all hard to believe that AST could have been the inspiration for MM.

I probably shouldn't have spent an hour reading through one of my old story threads..reminded me of a time when the Cult was bustling with the old familiars *wipes a tear*
I need to do some writing again soon.

It's not the same though.
I remember a time when you could refresh the social room and there would always be a new post.
I don't think anything will bring it back to its former glory short of NintendoCult.com
