The grass growing in the cracks between the patio brick has a healthier root system than the stuff in my yard.
I need to add sand to the soil of my raised beds. I figured that out soon after I built them. They haven't been completely empty since then.
UNTIL NOW... When I'm hoping I won't be here much longer.

I don't much(at all) follow reddit, but now I'm starting to wonder how many people I know do, because WOOOOAH.

Is it even a thing you follow? I'm pretty sure it's kinda like an image-board with a like system.

The more I see this the more it feels like whining than clever contradictions of character.

[Kegan] Well, holy crow. That sure was an MSPA update, huh? Says Kegan, in the forum where he only knows of maybe 3 (inactive) members that also read it. Not to mention I ******** hate it.

******** I'm like 1000 pages behind.
I still don't get how people can hate Homestuck. I mean the fanbase sucks, and I can see why it wouldn't be to everyone's taste, but a lot of people just hate it.

Nomega I still don't get how people can hate Homestuck. I mean the fanbase sucks, and I can see why it wouldn't be to everyone's taste, but a lot of people just hate it. Personally, 60% of the reason that I hate it is the fanbase. They're on par with or worse than MLP's or Valve's. I'm not implying anything about you or Kegan, but a lot of the fans obsess over Homestuck in a REALLY unhealthy manner. The other 40% is that I think it's a bad and badly told story. Andrew Hussie does not know when to stop typing; he doesn't know how to tell his story in a concise manner. It's like CAD, only Tim Buckley tried to tell a story instead of a joke. When you combine that with the fact that the story barely makes sense anyway, it comes across to most people as a convoluted mess; something I would compare to the MGS series, or Kingdom Hearts. I think people are more into the characters than the actual story. Normally when I think something like this is bad, I just keep it to myself pretty competently. But when you combine that with a fanbase that constantly shoves it in your face, I think it's very easy to see why people come to openly loathe it. I was once made to read the majority of the series; I know what I'm talking about when I say I don't like it and that it's a confusing mess. I'd obviously be lying if I said the whole thing was without parts that I liked, but they were few and far between, considering I spent about five days of my life reading the entire thing. I like the artwork and some of the music, though.

It was the animation I was raving about, and that's just music and artwork. Oh, except when they stopped the animation abruptly to make a dumb drawn out joke, but then the last frame of that intermission was rad, and then the second half of the animation followed that and I loved it.

I'd say that's a fair assessment, mostly. Homestuck's story moves slowly, and while I think it is interesting by its own merits, the well-done characters are what carries it through otherwise boring parts.
Homestuck is wordy, and long. Dear god. It should be in the dictionary under "inaccessible." It's word count surpasses War and Peace, it has over 7000 panels, and includes over an hour total of flash animations. There's a "New Reader?" page on MSPA, but what it should really say is "Go ******** yourself."
The story can be really confusing too, I would agree. But it's on purpose, usually to comedic effect. I'm not sure when you stopped reading Wayne, but a lot of plot points weren't explained at all until far into the story. There's a lot of memorization, too. There's like 30 main characters. Wrapping your head around it is tough.
Overall, while I wouldn't say I'm fanatic about MSPA, I would call myself a fan.

Yeah I've only read the first few pages and was too bored to continue, but a lot of the fanbase just seems to have asperger's. Even if I would like it, I just can't because I'm horrified of becoming "one of them". Same with ponies.

OUCH. MY ASPERGERS. a** BURGERS.
I kinda hate how Being a fan of something instantly associates you with the people who are fanatic about it.
My steam name isn't "Tollname Eggbert" and I don't make those fan troll original characters (see: blawnic)
It kinda makes me feel bad about ragging on the people who talk about my little pony in TF2 matches. Oh wait, they have names like "Sparkledash Sunshimmer" (Is that a real "pony"?)
JUSTIFIED.

Nomega There's a "New Reader?" page on MSPA, but what it should really say is "Go ******** yourself." I laughed. If all fans were like you and Kegan, I'd have no issue with the webcomic. I'm, in all honesty, pretty good about keeping my dislike to myself. Unfortunately there always has to be that small group of people that ruins it for everyone, throwing buckets at people at conventions and whatnot. I've also seen way more porn of homestuck than I'd ever care to see, thanks to certain people.

Yeah, I have a friend who I tried to get into it, and she was uninterested. Couldn't get into it. Then she started dating a con-scene friend who cosplayed terezi. I present to you... her tumblr. http://terminallyxsadistic.tumblr.com/Please don't, like, harass her or anything. I don't keep in touch with many of my highschool friends anymore.

It's like a crazy fan vortex. A girl at my highschool was wearing a Homestuck shirt, and when we asked her about it she knew the character who wore it but hadn't actually read the comic.

I'm still not sure the person who I just talked about has actually read the parts before the trolls.
Oh god. Trolls.
