I want to play Kingdom Hearts but I keep getting distracted by the pet sim.
How does it compare to raising Chao?
It's just sort of like Nintendogs+Cats, only instead of taking them for walks you destroy monsters with them, and upgrading them gives you skills too, so it's pretty imperative that you DO take care of them. There's also a sort of battle thing with them, and it's sort of like the chao battles, only there's a fair bit of interaction instead of just watching them.
They bond with you just by battling, but you can also go into a menu where you can pet them and play games with them and stuff. I wouldn't really give a s**t about them if it wasn't so rewarding, but it is, and like I said, you get skills and spells and whatnot from it. I'm working on getting curaga from Fat David (what I named one of my guys).
Which do I like better though? It'd be unfair for me to say, because I'm not a big fan of chao raising (I hated that they could die). It's definitely in the same tier as this, though, and it's pretty rewarding in KH because it gets you stuff in the main game.
