I guess it sounds silly at a glance, but I don't think replay value is defined as how enjoyable a game is on subsequent play-throughs, necessarily. Are there any games that are amazing on the first play, but not worth playing again?
I feel like replay value is something done intentionally. The "value" is the elements that add to the original experience, not just recreate it. Take something like Majora's Mask. It would be a lot of fun to play twice even if every optional quest was cut out, but when you add something like collecting stray fairies with prizes like the Great Fairy's Sword, it adds new challenges and game play.
This is exactly why movies don't have "replay value," they just have quality.

I was just thinking about sleep paralysis, because I woke up with super dry eyes, and my dad suggested that maybe I sleep with my eyes open, but I know I probably don't, because when I've woken up paralyzed, I couldn't open my eyes.
Never had any black figures rush at me. Just silence or ealy AM television like the care bears. It's funny, without the visual, I couldn't figure out it was care bears. That time I was like 12, though. I stopped going to bed with TV years ago.

whats weird i had the sleep paralysis thing a few times too, it was usually on the couch though, and i'd be in nightmares involving the same room i was in. until i could figure out what the sleep paralysis thing happening to me was i thought i was just walking into another nightmare. then i just realized it was basically waking up and REM sleep still occurring. remedy? fake a panic.

The thought of the Old Hag and other common shadow people associated with sleep paralysis scares the s**t out of me.

I've had nightmares where something takes over my body that craves flesh.
You know. Like chicken. And I'm like, a projection outside of my body watching this thing ravenously eat(hand over hand), with mild disgust and you know, the acceptable level of distress for any possession.
I never really liked meat (chicken is stringy and gross) so if you want to relate, try to imagine it was dog or cat food.

******** me I am going to restart Ninja Gaiden on an emulator so I can save state when I want to stop instead of relying on restore points.

SAVE STATING IS CHEATING Why are you so determined to beat it anyway?

It's not cheating if I'm only using it as a restore point. If I ever accidentally turn of my Wii in frustration again, the restore point's gone, so using a save state is better.
I am going to record myself struggling through Act 6 even, to prove I'm not using save states.
I don't know, I need to finish what I started?

I mean, I went through the same s**t, but I can't honestly say I got anything out of it. The game's not really a test of skill as much as pattern memorization. If I tried playing it now, I'd get my a** kicked because I don't remember where the cheap respawns are, which powerups to keep, etc.

I just wanna beat Jaquio or whatever but I don't have enough time to learn his pattern before dying and having to start all over.

Never again. Even with save states! I guess that kinda defeated the purpose of recording to prove something but at least some of you watched and it was fun
Maybe I stream better game 8D

Looking back on NES games, they really do look very old and unsophisticated. Here's hoping one day we'll be looking back on video games made today in the same light.

I've decided. I'm going to stream the game that people would care the least about watching: Pink Goes to Hollywood (Genesis version). I have to beat the very first game I've ever owned. Plus, in streaming I'm also recording and there is probably not even a minute's worth of footage of this game available past the first level online, anywhere.
Hell, I think I've only played three, four of the levels myself, ever. I doubt many people alive have ever seen the ending!
