I just realized that the notebook I picked up and began sketching in 3 days ago is full of drawings from when I was in like... 8th grade.
I feel a lot less talentless when compared to my 13 year old self. Also when I'm using a pencil. I need a better tablet, maybe.
Sometimes I feel so depressed and empty, but when I'm making or doing, I feel amazing. Even though what I make or do might not be amazing. And when I surprise myself and do something cool, I feel like a fool for ever feeling bad.
I think I'm going to buy a nice sketch pad and some art pencils.
I tried some non proportional work last November and I didn't like it at the time, but when I look at it now, feeling far removed from it, I feel like I was on to something cool.
The movie Pan's Labyrinth is on my mind right now. That's what's speaking to me. I just don't know what it's saying. My first instinct was to draw trees, but I think that is because landscapes are what I try to do when I feel unable to do anything good. I always think it'll be easy. No surprise: I'm awful at them.

Psych coverage under most US insurance is only about 50% of the cost.

I think I've begun to dread going to sleep because I wake up so sore.
What joys do I have to be robbed of?
God save my pottery.
I am toooooo young for arthritis.
