[Kegan] It's kinda insightful into understanding the Japanese attitude about whale hunting. You're not hunting monsters you are a monster who hunts innocent dinos. not all of em are innocent. deviljho is comparable to some of our normal wildlife that just eats everything including our livestock. and if anyone ever read teh quest text, the quest usually retains to the monsters proximity being a threat to nearby villages or they've already attacked someone. but who reads the quest text ever right? perhaps jehn moran would be a comparable hunt to whale hunting. only its a sand whale. and it tries to eat your boat.

Yeah, I'm just saying that the japanese probably think it's sporting because they view every giant animal as moby d**k. Maybe.
Also, let's be real. You as the player only care about those quests because you wanna kill enough monsters to make a suit of armor out of dragon foreskin, or something.
Seriously, I never understood why you need to kill 10+ giant dinos to make one suit of armor. What part are you using that is so small?

I think you're taking the game way too literally. Most of the monsters you hunt pose a looming threat to the villages you work for. It's only vaguely comparable to whaling, since whales never hurt anybody.
And drops are just a game mechanic.

Waynebrizzle I think you're taking the game way too literally. Most of the monsters you hunt pose a looming threat to the villages you work for. It's only vaguely comparable to whaling, since whales never hurt anybody. And drops are just a game mechanic. the freedom unite intro actually shows some of the weapon and armor making process. you gotta think, you pummled and destroyed this thing till it died with a big sharp metal thing or filled it full of holes or smashed its head in with a big blunt object. some of what you get off the monster is now flawed and unusable, the drop mechanic makes enough sense. as for breaking parts and it dropping more loot i imagine its because something broke off thats still in good condition. Trenn Flashkill Anyone planning on getting Borderlands 2? ehhh im a fps fan and all but 60$ isn't in the cards for me. besides i might want GW2 more. and i have TL2 on the way.

For the record, I probably wouldn't suggest anything I say today that seriously. My brain is fried, and I can barely breath through the mucus.
But uh...
