I can't even believe it's happening. Ever since I bought SA1 on Steam, I'v been wishing with all my heart. Wait until someone makes a program for extracting chao data. The possibilities... are endless.

Waynebrizzle The Eleventh AK Lives are pointless if when you play you can get over 500 of them easily I'd much rather get a game over and then have to arbitrarily redo some levels that I already did. That sounds like way better design. Same team?

Nomega [Kegan] My younger sister gets game overs in NSMBwii. Clearly age has something to do with this, so that also bugs me. People who have been playing these games for 20 years want the games to be scaled to their growth of skill, and think it's dumb or insulting to their natural, adult level of competence when it isn't. I'm lookin' at you, game grumps. To be fair, their generation single-handedly shifted the demographic for video games. What do you think the average gamer's age is? 10? 15? 18? 37. It's the Mario franchise. A new gamer isn't that much more likely to buy a Mario game than they are an obscure rip-off. They keep making Mario games because they want us to think to ourselves "I remember playing the last Mario game, it was great. I bet the new game is even better." I think it's reasonable to expect games to mature with us, like Zelda and Metroid have on a lot of levels. I totally see your point though. There definitely should be games that cater to kids and people who aren't experienced. Nintendo is fully capable of making different franchises for that. Coming to the wii-u, mario in a darker grittier and much browner mushroom kingdom (Can we still make jokes about HD being browner?) Mario must deal with his psychological demons, in the slums of new york, and switch between real life and fantasy to solve platform puzzles. Watch family drama unfold as mario's addiction drives him away from his girlfriend pauline and weep bitter tears as he drags his innocent younger brother into this hell with him. In the end, you must choose between Pauline and Peach. Nintendo will be handing the reigns over to ubi-atla-enix. Also rockstar.

There definitely should be games that cater to kids and people who aren't experienced. Nintendo is fully capable of making different franchises for that. Zelda and Metroid have both gotten incredibly easy over the years. People who were playing OoT 3D for the first time were complaining to me about how hard it was. The only recent Zelda game to even make combat a challenge is Skyward Sword, and all the hXc gamerz have decided that they hate it. Mario is a game meant for everyone to play, so naturally it isn't going to be Ninja Gaiden. That the average gamer's age is 37 is, firstly, a statistic, and if you've taken a stats class you know that statistics are largely unreliable. And besides that, let's be honest, Mario, barring the first three games, has always, ALWAYS been easy. We can't act like this is a problem that just came up in the New series. It's been there since Super Mario World. In short, Mario's a casual game series. Anyone that regards it as hardcore is sadly mistaken and is never going to get what they want out of it.

Waynebrizzle [Kegan] People who complain about the "over abundance" of extra lives available in modern mario games probably wouldn't tell you that game overs are great, so I don't get what the problem is. New things r not as good b/c i didn't play dem when i was kid lol Then again, there also seem to be some people that just like whatever the new design is because they didn't have the fond memories of these games when they were kids and want to establish that the new ways are inherently better. LOL!

I can't go back to my chao garden in SA2B. Egghead is dying and I can't go save him. ;_;
