Running through super-heated areas without the Varia Suit, a suit designed purely for Samus' safety, is due to her pride?
The grapple beam could be dangerous to survivors on the Bottle Ship?
The same goes for the Speed Booster and the Gravity Suit.
I'm not buying it.


I guess it's a difference of opinion, then. I like Metroid Fusion's story, but on subsequent playthroughs I think it gets tedious.

In the game Adam lets a third party "that's Samus" participate in an official government mission in a restricted government facility. To the ends of making sure that he, the commanding officer is monitoring where she goes on the ship, he gives her only the clearance to go to parts of the ship that her most basic suit features can enable. So, you know, not cutting through the lava rooms to get to restricted areas of the ship. It is an active government research facility, after all.

Samus can still cross through very hot areas, and ay death or danger in these areas is mostly up to the player's own actions. Actions and choices which have no effect on the outcome of the story. Taking detours through these areas doesn't harm samus, it just drains her shield energy slowly. If I remember correctly she doesn't even fight anything in these hot areas until after Adam grants varia suit use, which he grants specifically because she has to do combat in hot areas where she will be in real danger without all of her shield energy.

I got Denpamen. Pretty neat to have a dungeon crawler (that doesn't suck) on my system at all times. Are we able to send men to each other with QR codes? Because I have some good ones.
