I don't mind essays, but length requirement bug me. If I am able to comfortably fit the same amount of information and detail in a shorter work, why not? English teachers are always telling you not to be wordy, yet they want 4-page essays comparing two poems that are only a couple of stanzas long each.
Graduation for me at the end of this week! mrgreen No cap/gown stuff for me. To me, raduating isn't such a big to-do. It isn't like I'm really done with my education until at least college.

*cough* Yeah, that's actually not too bad... :sweat'd: *hides his poetry analysis essays*
English majors are fun, but full of work! x3 I'm glad I've gone through that process already. But you never actually stop learning. *throws out adages*

Haha, thanks for the offer, Alwyn, but I finished the essay last night so it's all good. Looks like I started a literature-based conversation. Hmm. whee

Greetings all, I'm Angel to my friends. That's the nickname given to me by them. I have 3 characters that I generally roleplay on a different forum. They're my favorites. 2 are always roleplay in lower powered rp's and one in the higher power'd roleplay, due to the factors of their own magic or abilities.
^^ I'm a glutton for punishment when it comes to my love of roleplay.
Anywhoes, how is everyone? Now I gotta find myself a good place for at least one of my three little ladies to land in and just stick to her to roleplay instead of all three being rp'ed fantasy speaking.

Welcome Sapphire!
Hmm... I don't quite understand your school system, but ohwell. Only thing I've picked up on is that americans seem to be really concerned about their grades, over here it's more about your working experience and the amount and kind of courses you've taken. We only have to worry about getting really good grades in everything if we want to apply for studying abroad xD
Personally I think it's unfair to base everything on good grades. Some people are good at writing exams, others are less good at it... doesn't mean the one getting poorer grades is in any way more stupid or lazy.
