Waynebrizzle Maybe people will shut up about Capcom killing Megaman for a few days now. Probably, since they're actually acting like he exists for the first time since MM10, and this game is likely going to be released, since it comes out in nine days and all.

Megaman 10 was only 2 years ago. Granted, but how many Mega Man projects have there been since then or around that time that have been squashed completely? -Mega Man Legends 3 - Completely canceled -Mega Man Universe - Completely canceled -Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 [+DLC] - Absent (minus a skin on Zero that gives him X colors) -Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 [+DLC] - Absent (aside from a Frank West costume) -Street Fighter x Tekken - Bad boxart Mega Man -Rock Man Online - No news since 2010, likely completely canceled I wouldn't care so much if they just didn't do anything with Mega Man in all that time. Until MM9 we didn't have any new traditional Mega Man stuff aside from MVC, but when they start a bunch of projects centered around the franchise(s) and just ******** everything up like they have been, it's frustrating. I don't know how we're still even arguing that they've been treating Mega Man like s**t, especially considering that this year was his 25th anniversary.

Noone has shed a single game tear about Samus's 25th being ignored, and we all know you're supposed to pretend a woman's 30th doesn't exist.

I'm not going to make claims that there hasn't been shady behavior in regards to the IP, but I feel like people ARE overreacting a bit. The boxart Megaman thing was kind of insulting, but I'm over it by now. Let's be honest, though, the only game even worth mention on that list is Legends 3, and it probably wouldn't have sold well, nor would I even call it traditional Megaman.
This is at least a sign that they're not as satanic a company as people are claiming they are. They're just idiots sometimes.

The box-art Mega Man was funny. While I'm not a hardcore Capcom fan I think it's great to see a company willing to poke fun at themselves like that. The Mega Man fan-base were such babies about it.

I thought it was pretty funny too. It's not like having bad box are megaman detracted from development resources for a real megaman game.
Also I think he probably fits in better with characters like viewriful joe and deadpool. Does it really make a difference to most of the people who cried gamer tears about it anyway? Wasn't megaman usually one of the weaker characters in those" vs. Capcom" games anyway?

[Kegan] Noone has shed a single game tear about Samus's 25th being ignored, and we all know you're supposed to pretend a woman's 30th doesn't exist. "Metroid Past Prime" EHEHEHEH There were actually a bunch of people upset about Samus's anniversary being missed. Waynebrizzle Let's be honest, though, the only game even worth mention on that list is Legends 3, and it probably wouldn't have sold well, nor would I even call it traditional Megaman. This is at least a sign that they're not as satanic a company as people are claiming they are. They're just idiots sometimes. Mega Man Universe actually held some promise, the more I look at it (thought it could be that I was starved for more Mega Man) and Rock Man Online looks like it would have been ******** awesome-it even had the Mega Man Killers in it. It's also stupid that they didn't put him in UMVC3, as he was in the first two and is essentially, the mascot for Capcom. I'm not saying they're evil. I'm not saying they're idiots either, because we don't really know their motivations of the inner workings of the company. They could have squashed the projects because Inafune left, we don't know. Whatever the reason, there was a lot they were promising for Mega Man and very, very little they delivered on. The Eleventh AK The box-art Mega Man was funny. While I'm not a hardcore Capcom fan I think it's great to see a company willing to poke fun at themselves like that. The Mega Man fan-base were such babies about it. This is also an old argument, so I'm not sure why you're jumping into it again, just to argue with me. Like I've said in the past, I do think it's funny, and I'm sure the Mega Man fanbase at large would think it was just as funny, if not funnier than everyone else if it wasn't the only bone they threw us when we were starving, when they'd promised us steak. Na'msayin'?

[Kegan] Also I think he probably fits in better with characters like viewriful joe and deadpool. ...Right, which is weird that they put ANY Mega Man in Street Fighter X TEKKEN and not MVC3. [Kegan] IDoes it really make a difference to most of the people who cried gamer tears about it anyway? Wasn't megaman usually one of the weaker characters in those" vs. Capcom" games anyway? Irrelevant. Then you might as well never be able to complain that Mewtwo, was stripped from Super Smash Bros. People buy a fighting game largely to play as the characters, especially MARVEL Vs. CAPCOM.

I guess I didn't follow them very intently, but they looked kind of uninspired to me.
I think it was probably because of Inafune leaving, too. You don't just cancel that much s**t for no reason. Especially when it's Mega Man and practically guaranteed to sell. There's been some bad s**t going on in the company ever since Clover was let off, and they need to purge themselves of it already. It's possible we won't see another quality Mega Man Capcom game until then.
....Not to imply that all of Mega Man's recent games were great, but I'd definitely like to see Megaman 11, or just one where they finally tie it into the ******** X series.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I realize that this problem is company-wide, not just with Mega Man. I can't think of a single game they made that I've really enjoyed this generation besides Revelations, which looks like it won't be happening again.

It's like if Nintendo announced a Zelda MMO, an old-school styled Zelda game where you can play as multiple Links and a new sequel to... say, Windwaker and they canceled all of them and then didn't put Link in the next Smash Bros. or its DLC.
Then cartoon/CD-i Link showed up in Nintendo Vs. Capcom or something.
