Erin's smile widened as Cecilia said she would let Elle into the room. The Artistic Owl simply watched as her azure-skinned friend opened the door and stood to the side to allow Elle to enter. As her sister sat down on a nearby chair, Erin's expression was neither happy, nor sad. It wasn't neutral and blank either. She was simply watching Elle with curious and questioning eyes. She wanted to know what her sister had to say.

And Elle surprised Erin with what she had to say. Erin gave her sister a tiny sheepish smile when Elle said that she had gotten her a** handed to her in the match. That was something her sister would definitely say. The robotic side of her, the machine, wouldn't have said something like that. It made her happy to know that maybe Elle was still the same person underneath the mechanics and programming. "Thank you, Elle..." she replied quietly, with a tiny smile at her sister. She was also trying her best to hold back the tears of relief right now too.

Elle's conclusion was what surprised her the most. That, and she almost couldn't believe that Elle was saying that she wasn't going to kill her or their friends. Erin sat there for a moment or two, staring at Elle in surprise and mild confusion. She wasn't quite sure what to make of what Elle had just said. Especially after all that had happened since Brazil where Elle basically disowned her right in front of Cecilia.

Not knowing what to say, Erin simply nodded to let Elle know that she had heard and understood what her sister had said just now. It took another couple of minutes for Erin to find her voice again to say anything. "I'm glad to have you back, Elle..." she said, with a smile that Elle should know very well. It was one that meant Erin was happy.

The longer Roulin decide to humor Amara, the one girl that was proving to be more and more like that little sister he never had, the clearer it became that she had a way of pressing his buttons without knowing just what she was doing. Disgruntled by her words concerning Raven and Cecilia, Roulin simply blew an a disapproving breath up through the dark strand of hair that covered half his face. His hair simply leaped up, then fell back onto his cheeks where the remained lethargically as Amara continued to lecture him. If it weren't his promise to her that he'd listen, he'd probably have walked away by now and evaded her until he figured she'd forgot about all of this. She was a psion. Forcing this conversation from her mind would be easy for her right?

"Hmph. Whatever you say Amara. I know where my compassion lies." The Life Owl's mind simply raced when the blonde girl gave a comparison between Raven and Cecilia. He knew to whom his heart belonged and Amara of all people should know that as well. If not from history, then just from looking at him. He was here fighting along side the new Herald of Gravity so that should've spoke volumes. "Selfish eh? Because I don't want her in my way? Because I'm trying to keep her away from the harm that I might bring? Please. I'm doing her a favor by keeping away from her. How I acquire powers now would only render her as a weakness to me. Someone would hunt her because I killed their family member or some other bullshit. It's not something I wish to deal with at the moment. If it were you, I'd do the same thing. Push you to the side and tell you to wait until I got back. Surely she has something to do in her spare time. Knitting maybe?" Once again, Roulin swatted away the loose strands of darkness that hung over his eyes and placed them behind his ear. Whether or not his decision was selfish or not wasn't anything she should've concerned herself with. As for Raven, that was a subject he'd touched upon already. No need to revisit that psychopathic witch....

"As for your predicament Ms, the only thing I can say to you is either let him walk his path while keeping an eye on Aiden, or try to go to his side while staying out of the way. Like you said, Aiden doesn't need this life of war. This life of lies, hatred and death. Keep him away from all of this if you can alright? Lucien on the other hand....he's his own man. Once you understand that he's not going to stop his life just for a kid and a woman, you'll understand the choice that you ultimately have to make..." said Roulin as he folded his arms over his chest. Lucien shouldn't have been of any concern to him. He was just another target Roulin would have to deal with later on down the line. If it weren't for his connection to Amara and her topic of him becoming distant, then Lucien wouldn't have even crossed his mind unless he was speaking to him directly. "What you want isn't selfish at all. It's human instinct. Animal instinct actually...to protect one's young from the harms of the world. Don't kick yourself over it. Furthermore, I suppose we can agree on one thing. Jeannie needs to go...the ********. Unlike you, you jealous little thing you, I couldn't care less about what she does to your relationship with Lucien. I say that because I know that someone like you will n** it in the bud looooong before things get too out of hand. You will kill her right? If Lucien makes the wrong choice? If you do, make sure I'm there to see it alright? To answer your question, Lucien will set an example for Aiden. The best one a father can. Just it'll be on the wrong spectrum. Whereas you son will see a strong man, others will see a murderer. That won't work out for your son if he makes the wrong choice."

Bailey looked up at Luca as he spoke. Fate...never tearing them apart again? How would that be possible? Fate was forever against them. Fate didn't want them to be together. But these were doubts that Bailey did not want. The waiter brought their wine and uncorked it with both profession and grace, a sign that he had been doing this for many years and was well practiced in such a skill, which took great care. The crimson liquid was poured gently into the thin crystal glasses that would break easily with just a single tap of a spoon. However, she did not touch hers right away as Luca spoke to her.

Those vivid memories of that moment on the plane when they had blurted out their feelings for each other. It was on the spur of the moment. But it was a scene that she would never forget. Even though it wasn't the way she wanted to confess her feelings to him, it had lifted a burden off of her shoulders and let him know how she truly felt about him, that she wanted to be with him, that she loved him. She lifted the delicate glass to her lips and sipped. The deep ruby liquid touched her tongue. She held it for a moment, savoring the soft taste allowing it to roll around on her pink tongue before she allowed it to slide down her throat. Barely a centimeter had been drained from the crystal glass before she set it down gently again taking care not to shatter the clear crystal.

Luca's words filled the young blue eyed Vector Owl with many emotions, emotions that she had never felt before. The way he felt when he wasn't around her was the same as she felt. She didn't feel complete when he wasn't there. She could only give so much when he wasn't there. He brought out a part of her that she didn't reveal to anyone else, a side that came out of her shell. She loved him, was in love with him. Perhaps fate would be kind and allow them to remain together. When Luca stood from his side of the table and approached her, kneeling down onto one knee, it set her heart pounding. She was sure it could be heard over the soft noise of the luxurious dining room. She gasped softly as he pulled a small delicate black velvet box from his pocket and opened it to reveal a ring made of pure white gold, encrusted with diamonds that wrapped around the two bands. The centerpiece was the large diamond at the very top.

Bailey's eyes filled with tears as he proposed to her, professing his love to her and his desire to want to spend the rest of his life to her. A lump formed in her throat, but she pushed it back down where it settled into the pit of her stomach so that she could speak without losing her voice to it. "Y-Yes," she said struggling to keep her voice steady, but it cracked with tears of joy. "Yes, I will become your wife! Yes, I will spend the rest of my life with you!" Her arms arms flew around Luca. She buried her tear filled eyes into his shoulder, but these were tears of joy, rather than sadness. Bailey could be considered a hopeless romantic. She was the kind of girl who dreamed of this moment, ever since she was a child and now it was truly happening.

Amara looked at Roulin as he gave his view point. It almost made Amara angry because it was just like talking to Lucien at this point. "First off...dont you EVER call Aiden 'some kid' that's Lucien and my son. You're speaking like a dumb a** right now Roulin or what some people would call a male. I don't know Cecilia very well so how you handle her is your prerogative...but you know me...why would Lucien set me to sidelines for me not to get hurt? Regardless I've always been able to take care of myself....ALWAYS" she said with a bit of a sting in her words. "But there's only so much I will put up with...Lucien is treading on very thin ice with me..." she said.

Amara didn't want to think about it, but she knew that there was a possibility of her and Lucien being no more....she prayed that it would never boil down to something like that...but she was realistic as well. "An example a father should set for his son is to be there for him....I mean...whatever call me a b***h, but your father wasn't there for you and look how you are now, you don't know how to be there for your girlfriend..." she said to him. "...even if you're protecting her you should respect her more and not view her as a possible liability" she said to him. She said this because she was talking about herself as well with the case of Lucien. "If Lucien goes too far Roulin, I will take Aiden and Lucien can continue his quest to become a monster. Just think Roulin....if I travel the path with him...I'll not only put my life in danger but Aiden's as well. If it wasn't for the child then maybe I wouldn't be so hesitant about supporting his decision" she said to him.

"I'm sorry Roulin...I'm taking out some of my anger for him on you...but you know just as well as I do that if I were to talk to him, he'd try to verify it through logic..." she said. "You know Rou...I'll just give you this to think about and then we can talk about whatever you like because I feel that I'm rambling on...but....no matter how long you live...you can't always be the hero. You will fail at some point in your life" she said. "Just like I have and will in the future. I have the possibility of failing my son...I can raise him the 'right' way and he can become way worse than me and his father put together....just...don't lose yourself trying to be hero...we're not super heroes from comics and anime...we're real life people...who just so happen to do amazing things...but we're no gods...." she trailed.

Elle smiled at her sister. "It's nice to have you back to Erin...now don't get all sappy or whatever. Get your head in the game, we have a war to win" she said to her sister. I will say this, when you're ready to become two in one again let me know...I miss the closeness" she said to her sister. She then stood up and looked at Cecilia and then her sister. "I'm going to go freshen up...I'll leave you two girls to talk...sorry to have interrupted" she said walking past Erin and patting her on the shoulder. The technopath then walked out of the door and into the casino's hallways.

The seconds it took Bailey to answer him seemed like hours, as if the world suddenly stopped spinning, the restaurant they were seated in stopped rotating, all of the world vanished into this singular moment. When Bailey looked as if she were going to choke up on the words in her throat Luca held his breathe, when the words she stumbled to say were yes a smile lit up his face in a way no lightning he could ever produce could. As she threw her arms around him he smiled and hugged her tightly, giving her a few moments to cry on his shoulder. He ran his hand along her back up and down as he closed his eyes. The moment that he had contemplated ever since that moment on the plane had finally arrived. For two months he planned out this event, the ring, the scenario, sure he hadn't planned for vegas but then again he didn't know they were going to be spirited away to Will's domain.

After giving Bailey a few minutes he pulled slightly away, removing the ring from the box he gently lifted up her hand with his real hand and slowly slid the ring onto her finger. He smiled softly, lifting it up he kissed the top of her hand gently. "I had a feeling it would look stunning on you." He said as he looked up into her eyes. He raised his cooling metal hand and brushed her cheek with it, before he lifted his head up and kissed her for the sake of the moment that they were no longer two separate lines but a singular life now. After the kiss Luca slowly pulled back, glancing towards the pianist who had sense finished the Moonlight Sonata and was now playing some manner of waltz. Luca stood up still holding Bailey's hand in his. "With the news I would imagine you're not hungry at this moment. Do you want to, dance a little before we eat?" He asked as he motioned to the hard wood flooring that surrounded the raised platform with the pianist, several of the other people attending the rotating restaurant had gotten up from their seats and were dancing to the waltz. No matter what kind of house Luca grew up in he was still an Englishman, and what Englishman didn't know how to dance a waltz?

Bailey embraced him tightly, welcoming his warmth, his love as he held her closely to him. Everything seemed to have stopped moving, even though in reality, the world was still rotating on its axis. She could only see Luca. Everything else had faded into the background, black and white. After a few minutes, she allowed him to pull away so that he could place the ring upon her left ring finger. It fit her perfectly as if it had been made just for her. She closed her eyes and leaned into the soft touch of his cool silver metallic hand, holding it to her cheek for a moment before she welcomed his kiss.

The kiss was full of tenderness, love, passion, fondness, and every other good emotion in the world. Even after Luca pulled away, the kiss still remained on Bailey's now moistened lips. The song that was being played upon the piano ended and now a waltz began to play. She looked at the wooden floor where couples were coming together in the graceful dance before her aquamarine eyes lifted themselves towards Luca again. "I'm not a very good dancer, but yes. I'd love to dance with you," she said with a soft smile. She just prayed that she wouldn't step on his feet too many times. The opportunity was perfect. She was sure that as an English gentleman, Luca would be very skilled at waltzing.

The dark purple eyes of the Life Owl were pulled down to Amara when she spoke in more of a snapping tone. The male's eyebrow cocked in contemplation at what would've made her reply how she did. In mere seconds, he realized his folly and simply closed his eyes waiting for the girl to finish having her way with him verbally. It wasn't as dramatic as he expected so he considered himself lucky. There was no need to spoil such a moment with a fight and Roulin's smirk, he hoped, would convey that thought to the peeved woman. "Eh..." he started when she paused. "That wasn't what I meant, but now that that's over, I guess I might as well continue. You're question is a dumb one Amara. What other reason would he put you on the sidelines and keep you from harm? Why do you think I've been doing the same thing to Cecilia? It's out of love and concern alright? You girls...sometimes I don't get you, but I know I need you to live...."

"I think I know how to be there for my girlfriend...me not being in her face hugging her, holding her and squeezing her will do her fine. Besides, I know she still loves me and I still love her. Like I said, the time will come where I'll fix all of this alright? Same with Lu---well, maybe. That's not to say he won't come around....I'll keep you two in thought alright? And yeah, I know that. I don't want to see Aiden live like how we've been living. He doesn't deserve this s**t we've buried ourselves in. At all cost, keep him away from this, but don't let Lucien get away. He's been keeping himself calm for you and I want to keep him that way. If he gets out of hand, I'm going to have to stop him..." The Owl didn't want to kill Lucien as much as he let on, but if it came down to it, then the deed would have to be done. Aiden would have to grow up missing his father if things got out of control and Roulin, who's steely purple eyes stared warningly into the eyes of Amara, wouldn't mind it as long as the world was safe.

"Don't say that Amara. Alter your point of view now and you'll resent your little bundle of joy. Don't ever stop loving that child understand?" inquired Roulin in a rather stern tone. As he iterated before, Lucien's stability was grounded in those two. Whether or not Amara knew it, just her breathing was enough to keep Lucien from moving but so fast. Joining him or leaving him would only speed up the process of him become a monster of an Owl. Itching to gamble now, Roulin decided to listen in on the last thing Amara had to say to him. It didn't faze him any as he already knew just what he was. To respond, he first began with a shrug, then a nod. Slipping his hands into his pockets and turning away from her, he spoke, "Yeah, I know. I know. I'm just a man. You're just a woman. We have the potential to be heroes, but none of us are. We might not ever be...but it's a nice thing to look forward too isn't it? Don't mistake my ambition for confidence. I think I'm weak, but I feel stronger than anything out there, get it? We're....just humans. Humans with powers. The hell is an Owl anyway? It's a ******** bird! Heh! Now, i'm going to go sin down at the casino. Would you like to come along? Or are you going to worry about what you can't change more?"

PostPosted: Thu Feb 02, 2012 11:15 pm
Amara looked at Roulin, she could tell them going back and forth would get them no where, that's something that her, Lucien and Roulin all shared...a thick skull. When he brought up gambling she smiled. "I think that would be fun...I hear they give you free drinks while you're playing" she said to him. As they began to walk, Amara's mind began to wonder aimlessly. "So you're the Life OWL and Lucien's the Death OWL...which means you all will live forever until you get a successor...or killed...do you two even know what your responsibilities are outside of fighting?" she inquired curiously. She wasn't trying to come off as jealous or anything she just wanted to know. Then she began to think what would Lucien do after she died...after Aiden died. She just hoped that he wouldn't lose his sanity.

"And since forever is a long time what will you be doing when all of this over...I mean...you see what age does to OWLS who have immortality...they grow cynical...and shells of their former selves" she said to him. They then reached the floor of the casino and Amara looked around. "Okay we're taking them for everything their worth. What do you wanna play Rou? Poker? Black Jack? Craps? Roulette?" she asked him. "Oh and I guess I could ask you...Aiden needs two sets of godparents....we already have Moli and Aeon....would you do me the honor and become his other godfather?" she asked him. She would have asked if Cecilia wanted to be godmother but she didnt know the OWL on that basis yet, besides it was something that could be developed as time went on.

Aeon's eyes fell on Moli. Standing up she walked over towards him and made eye contact grabbing him by the hand and taking him outside of Will's office. "Are you okay Moli? she asked him curiously. It had been months since she had seen him and soon she wouldn't see him until the fighting was over. "Let's go out to dinner or to a show or to a bar or something just the two of us to talk...or have you lost interest already?" she asked in a joking manner. "You know I won't be accompanying you all to go and fight The Fallen Phoenix right? I just want you to be safe...how prepared are you to actually go and fight those many OWLs of that magnitude" she asked with curiosity.

Not wanting to be in the way as the two sisters conversed and bonded, Cecilia walked into another part of the room and busied herself with folding some of the clothes that were piled on the floor while she had been choosing something to wear earlier. Yet, she could still hear every word she said despite the fact that she was trying her best not to eavesdrop. Cecilia could hear the emotion in Elle's voice meaning that the machine side of her had not completely taken over, that there was that side of her, which was filled with emotion, whose heart still beat with blood.

At least they managed to get over their differences of opinion. Cecilia remembered back in Brazil when Elle had practically disowned her sister. But it seemed that relationship had been mended. Finishing picking up her clothes and folding them neatly, she stood, her knees popping from having knelt for so long. After Elle left to the casino most likely, the Herald approached Erin. "I'm not sure if you're the type to gamble, but do you want to go down to the casino with me? It would be very boring to stay here in this room for the entire evening. We might as well have a bit of fun, perhaps fatten our pockets with more cash. Who knows? Maybe Lady Luck will smile down upon us tonight," she said with a rather mischievous smile as she awaited the Artistic Owl's answer. She wanted to go down there and let loose tonight. She wanted to try and forget about the problems of the world and the problems of her relationship at least for one night.

As Anya was standing outside Will's office door, a shadow appeared on the ceiling above her, that shadow soon formed into a puddle looking spot of the ceiling. Nik slowly lowered himself out of the shadow, upside down, until his face was level with Anya's. Leaning over and kissing her on the cheek before moving back to where he was, Nik said, "Hey beautiful. Miss me?" Nik smiled widely at Anya, lightly bobbing his head to the music playing over his headphones. Unlike normal, his actions were very subdued. Nik offered no explanation as to where he had gone, but he would tell Anya if she asked. Despite having been gone for who knows how long, Nik was still wearing his white suit. It wasn't the same one, but it had the same design. Nik continued staying upside down, hanging by his feet from his shadow on the ceiling, this was so he could make a quick escape if Anya tried to hit him.

Erin's smile grew when Elle said she had missed her too. But the comment after that turned her smile into a sheepish one. That was most definitely her sister saying that. She closed her eyes to hold back a small laugh that almost escaped her. "Don't worry. I won't get too sappy on you. And you're right. We do have a confrontation coming up with the Fallen Phoenix in a few weeks. As Elle got up and patted Erin on the shoulder, Erin looked up at her sister, a rather content smile on her face now as she was glad to have her sister back in her right mind again. "I'll let you know when I'm ready, Elle..." Erin said quietly just before her sister left Cecilia's room to go freshen up after their sparring match.

When Elle was out of the room, Erin looked back down at her unopened water bottle. She felt distinctly better, as if a humongous weight had been lifted off her shoulder. Her sister was still the same person underneath that mechanized programming. Elle wasn't going to kill her, or their friends. She still had that nagging thought in the back of her mind telling her that she should still keep her guard up. But right now, it wasn't at the forefront of her mind. She felt distinctly better physically as well now after a little bit of rest.

That was when Cecilia approached her again. Erin blinked and looked up at the Cosmic Owl, her head tilting to the side a bit in question. Erin wasn't the type to go gambling, but it wasn't like she hadn't been inside a casino before. Brazil had its share of that sort of lifestyle. "It seems that Lady of Luck has already smiled on me today." Erin replied before answering Cecilia's request for company to the casino. "As for going down to the casino... I'd love to go with you. But I think I might have to put on some clean clothing first." Erin expression turned sheepish at the last comment as she referenced the state of her current outfit.

===

Anya had her eyes closed as she tried to relax after the long sparring match she had just finished with Anderson, Moli, and Cecilia. As such, she didn't notice the shadows swirling on the ceiling which signified Nikolai's return. She didn't even know he was in the room until she felt the light kiss on her cheek. At first, she thought it was Will being the b*****d he was as usual. But when her eyes shot open and Nik asked her if she had missed him... Well, she calmed down as her temper had flared for that brief moment. "Nik!" She said aloud, staring at the Dancing Owl, not really caring or bothering to notice anymore that he was hanging upside-down on from the ceiling. She'd been around him long enough to have already gotten used to that habit of Nik's. "Where the hell have you been? I was looking for you earlier. You kinda disappeared on me during the whole discussion before the sparring even started." Anya said, the thought of hitting Nik on the head didn't even cross her mind at that point. She just wanted to know where Nik had gone off to. She did take note of his subdued behavior though.

===

After Radiant had taken Aiden from her, Kate had wandered off on her own within Will's office she didn't really pay attention to much of what was said in the room around her. She had also been out on the balcony when Radiant and Will were talking, staring out into space. Though she did know that Che had been roped into a two on one sparring match. To tell the truth, she was actually getting kinda bored at the moment. As such, the Eternity Owl soon left Will's office, and wandered the hallways. She did over look onto the casino floor and considered going down to play poker for a while. But instead, she figured she might as well keep wandering. It would give her a change of scenery if nothing else.

In her wanderings, she came across the room that Sebastian, Tai, and Che were using for their little sparring match. She hadn't known what the status of the match was earlier, not that she really cared though. She didn't understand why Che let Will continue to push him around when he was perfectly capable of fighting for his life on his own. Kate soon wandered into the room with the sparring match and leaned back onto the wall next to the door. Though she did not go out into the center of the room to interfere in the match. She was just there to watch really. She didn't really care who won or who lost either. Kate was just bored at the moment and needed something to keep her preoccupied.

Nik smiled and twirled around while upside down, stopping his spinning while he was facing Anya he replied, "That is my name, yes. I was in Russia meeting with some old friends." Nik didn't say any more on the matter, and he wouldn't unless Anya asked for more information. He swung back and forth like a pendulum in front of Anya before saying, "See, sparring is fun and all, but I thought we were leaving. I didn't think you wanted to be a part of all this. Then again, with Raven stepping up her game, I suppose we have to do something." Nik stopped his swinging and debated dropping down to the floor, as it seemed Anya didn't want to hit him. She seemed genuinely concerned or was it just curiosity? Either way, Nik didn't think he had to worry about her going off on him at the moment. After mulling it over in his head for a bit, Nik decided to get off the ceiling. He lowered himself onto his hands and let go of his legs with the shadow, he hopped back up onto his feet and smiled at Anya before saying, "You still didn't answer my question about whether or not you missed me. You looks sore, rough sparring? Would you like a massage?" Nik chuckled lightly, he was joking with Anya, but then again, he would have given her a massage if she wanted one.

Anya gave Nik a quizzical look. She wasn't sure about what his answer was. It seemed plausible that he would want to do that, but she had no idea of the reason why he would go off back to Russia. "Of course I missed you. What do you mean by 'meeting with some old friends'? Your circus buddies, maybe?" she asked, now both curious and still concerned. She could tell Nik was keeping something from her, but she couldn't tell what because he wasn't explaining.

She was about to insist upon an answer to her question when Nik mentioned the fact that they had decided to leave back before she became the new Earth Herald. Anya scowled. "Do you think I want to stay and fight this war? I don't. I didn't ask to become the new Earth Herald. That's the main reason why I'm basically forced to stay and help. That, and Che would never leave me alone if I didn't help." Anya said. She didn't even want to mention the whole Satan Owl issue. Will wouldn't leave her alone whether she helped with the war or not anyway.

"But you're right. I do think the Fallen Phoenix is getting too big for their over sized britches." Anya stated flatly as she folded her arms across her chest for emphasis. "And no, I do not need a massage right now. I'm the only one in the group who came out without any major injuries." Anya didn't say that to brag. She was just trying to get Nik off her case and to stop worrying about her.

One crisis had been averted, but there were still many more, which would not be as easy. Cecilia looked at Erin. The Artistic Owl's eyes seemed to have lit up and took on the color two shimmering ruby gems. She seemed happier now. She no longer moved as if the entire weight of the world was on her shoulders. Cecilia was glad to see her friend smile genuinely, a smile that reached all the way to her eyes.

"Lady Luck works in mysterious ways doesn't she?" Cecilia said, her jade eyes twinkling. The Cosmic Owl then gazed down at Erin's outfit, which was torn, tattered, and rather bloodied. She arched an eyebrow, her lips twitching in some amusement. "Well, maybe it could be some sort of fashion statemen," she teased before shrugging and smoothing down her cloud-like tresses, which seemed to be trying to come free from the teeth of the clip that held each strand away from her face.

"But you're right I suppose. We wouldn't want to freak anybody out now would we?" Cecilia took her own empty water bottle to the kitchen and threw it in the trash. "I'll come with you to your room and help you pick out something to wear." It had been a long time since she had gotten to be an actual girl and worry about all the things normal girls worry about such as clothes, hair, make-up (not that she really ever wore the latter). It would be nice to have fun with a girlfriend.

((Will))

It seemed the fights were all concluding for the most part. Che still hadn't met Will's expectations though, but if it really went on for that long, the devil would have the training session stopped. There was no point if no training was being done. Despite what Kate thought (though even if Will knew, he didn't care), Will did not think Che was up to par. The blonde Satan Owl was Che's mentor and teacher. He knew Che's training and capabilities better than anyone.

Will smirked as he tuned in on the conversations of others his office and around the area.Anya's boyfriend had returned. The blonde's manipulations and plans had been going as expected. Anya was now the Earth Herald, and that engagement ring was still fitted nicely on her finger. Even if she used her Earth Herald powers, it wouldn't come off.

The devil glided into his office and placed a hand on Nikolai's shoulder. "Oh, Anya's sore because you didn't watch her, that's all...Besides, she can't stand to sit this out due to her...responsibilities..." he stated with a smirk. "Now, Anya dear, I'm going to borrow your boyfriend here for a moment. Man to man talk, you know..." He looked at Anya with a mischievious smirk before pulling Nikolai away from Anya toward the balcony where he had conversed with Radiant before. The balcony was outside one of the doors to the office, not really accessible to everyone.
