I can't get it right away, but I want to play it for myself without any preconceived notions or spoilers.

Not recently, no, but I do plan to pick up Darksiders II in the near future, after the price drops a bit. ^^ I liked the first one a lot, even if it wasn't quite long enough, and I've done almost everything in the game. Except totally max out my weapons (friggin' enemies don't spawn except in a few places) and kill enough enemies while on the bird. XD;

War's completely awesome in every way, though... I could do worse for a role-model when thinking about Kisa's style. rofl

Yeah, it wasn't really a secret that there would be a boss fight.
Hopefully the nature of the fight was a little surprising, but either way...well, you get the drift.

As for the skill set, you will find out soon enough. We already worked it out, so there is a set list of skills for it to choose from. Its current power should be enough to challenge the people there. All-in-all, should be a small but fun fight. o wo b
