I think the overworld in the new Pokemon looks kind of bad.

I'd probably be all-in for the game if it wasn't for that being so offputting. It's not changing a whole lot (see: anything), mechanic wise, but at least it's finally in 3D. The least they could do is make it look like a 3DS game.

I want a Pokemon game where I can pick one of 600+ Pokemon and play with them like Gotcha Force from the Gamecube. Course, they'd have to fix a bunch of camera issues but it'd be freakin' awesome.

It's definitely not doing the hardware justice. The battle models all look alright, though. Especially considering there's hundreds of them. I'm leaving the art style out of this. That's a lot more subjective. I'm just talking technically. It looks like a game I'd play on the N64 or NDS. It actually looks A LOT like the Final Fantasy remakes.

The human models reminded me some of the DQ/FF games on the DS, but I think it looks fine. You complained when they wouldn't change it at all, having three gens on one system, then when they give it a massive upgrade, it's not changed enough. You prove yourself that fans cannot be pleased.
The battle animations and all the models look pretty good, I think. The overworld doesn't bother me.

Someone noticed that the starters are using attacks outside of their types, too, so they all might be dual types from the start, which would be pretty neat. Grass/Dark, Fire/Psychic and Water/Fighting, I think? Interesting, but it might be a little complicated for newbies to wrap their heads around.
