Meta_Fish Ribbin Well I remember you mentioning the second types and I thought "He's reading into this way too much." But the more you talk about it, the more sense it makes. Grass/Dark sounds badass too. If you rewatch the trailer, you can see them using attacks like those, too! Yea, I remember Froakie using a sick fighting move. One I didn't recognize. I wonder if they revamped all the animations?

I wonder if they revamped all the animations? It seems like it. It's definitely the best battle animating I've seen in Pokemon. It doesn't just look like they attack on one side with a generic animation, then switch cameras to the other side with the Pokemon being hit by it. Though there's a part where Fennekin's fire doesn't come right from its mouth, it's pretty great, especially with Froakie using the fighting move ON the Pokemon, where you can see it hitting the opponent.

Meta_Fish Oh hey, remember that rumor about the XY starters being dual-type? In the trailer you can see them using moves (almost primarily) outside of their fire/grass/water types, the rumor being that they're water/fighting, grass/dark and fire/psychic. I hadn't thought about it too much until I remember it was kind of what I wanted the starters to be (minus the grass/fire/water types) awhile ago, because they also make rock/paper/scissors-sense (although psychic just straight-up can't hurt dark >_>). It would make each type good against its own weakness with its secondary, which would certainly be interesting. I wonder if there will be more like that with Pokemon you find in the game, or if the Pokemon will actually be dual-type at all. Maybe the "next evolution" of the series will be that Pokemon more often evolve into different types than they start with, giving them more flexibility in their final stages? Maybe Froakie will just be a fighting type in his third form, but still have a lot of water moves? It would remove his STAB, but give him more versatility. Or maybe the types would switch? Or maybe they'd just stay dual-type. Anyway, with the dual-types listed, it would make your rival, who usually picks the starter that's good against yours, which makes them "stronger" at the beginning, still be stronger at the beginning, but giving you a way to fight back. If they shed their primary type or grow more into their secondary, it would make you a lot stronger in the end. Neat to think about, if nothing else, but I suspect these starters are all going to be dual-type at some point. yea fgt i already talked about dis

It is actually entirely possible that I am just remembering saying it, but not where I said it, and assuming it was the cult. I've also talked to people on tumblr and other forums about it, and then there's various messenger programs, which means it might not have even been in public.

I'm still waiting for more details to make up my mind about how I feel about X and Y. I don't really regret skipping black and while and their sequels, but it didn't seem wrth it, when I had trouble staying interested enough to make my way through Heart Gold, and that game was fine.
Lemme tell you, though. Animal Crossing: New Leaf? Day 1 buy.

Also, my current banking solution, which is wells fargo ever since wachovia went bankrupt and got bought, no longer has free checking. The only way to get free checking is to used my card 10 times a month, and that just isn't going to happen.
Anyone know a good big bank with free checking? Wells Fargo took 25+ dollars before I realized what they were doing. Maybe I should look for something local :I

Meta_Fish Jaycorn It's so fun to imagine what you'd be like if you were this age in the 80s. No Pokemon, no Kirby, no Sonic, no modern video games, none of your modern music, no Internet! We'd all have to be up to such different things. Also Bulbasaur can learn Solarbeam by TM, so why not Chespin? It is. In any time, really! We'd be very different, I think, because I think it's more nurture than nature that leads the person we become. Without the same pop culture raising us, we'd all be a lot different, as sad as it may seem. I suppose that's not that strange, then. Just kind of weird they'd show it off, especially being used on a Magikarp. It's strangely satisfying to see such a powerful and supereffective move used on a Magikarp of all Pokemon. It's like ultra rape.

It's not the fact that they can learn moves, but that they chose to show all 3 of them using moves from types that would form a different trio.
Also, is water weak to metal? (looks up) Nope. But Charizard can learn solar beam... Through TMs, or thunder punch through a tutor.
