You'd be a fool to pass on the XL. A fool I say! The increased screen size adds so much to the experience. Better 3d, better battery, and just more immersion all around. The original 3ds looks cramped in comparison.

Or I just don't want to spend over 100 dollars for slight upgrades (and downgrades, sound wise).
I'll bite when they have a DSi equivalent 3DS model.

Don't get me wrong, I think the bigger screen is awesome. I just don't think it's THAT awesome.

Once you get used to it, the small one just looks like garbage. And battery life is always a big plus. Is there something wrong with the sound? It might be a bit quiet at full volume, but if you really want to hear it that well you'd probably use headphones anyway.

Yeah, but if I'm paying for an upgrade, I expect it to be at least as good as the first model in every way. The original 3DS has better portability as another benefit on top of that. And CPP support. These things start to accumulate and make the big screen not seem worth it to me. Maybe if I could just trade it and NOT spend however much money it would be, but I can't. Plus, I'd heard it deletes save data from your eshop games or something when you transfer your memory. Maybe David just did it wrong.

I never wanted/needed to use the circle pad pro for anything in the first place. Games shouldn't need that thing in the first place! Being slightly easier to fit in your pocket isn't really worth choosing the old 3DS over, either, IMO. I could never go back to those tiny screens.

Sure, you have to balance out your needs and desires. Personally I couldn't stand the 3ds's microscopic screens. Everything else be damned. Even if the XL didn't have 3d, I would have upgraded. In a heartbeat.

But yea, I never even got the CPP. I thought it was gahbage. I would have gotten the Nyko one, though. It looked amazing.
