Queen Spazzy It's easier to embroider text on, like, aida fabric and linen, but it's insanely hard to embroider ANYTHING on amigurumi because it has to be done really tightly and that makes it near impossible to get a blunt needle through anywhere but between stitches, it's even insanely hard to get a SHARP through the middle of a stitch. Blunt needles leave awful bruises if you slip with them and stab yourself, and if you stab your fingers, that makes everything you do afterward hurt even more, it sucks, but all yarn needles are blunt and so are most embroidery needles (though I DO have a set of embroidering sharps, thank goodness, not that it helps when I'm embroidering with yarn. ^^; ). I am occasionally more of a good person than an asshat. Occasionally. >>; I'm OCD, so consistency is an absolute must. If I think something is even slightly off, I will start all over again. Maybe I will make something for you someday. o3o I need to learn embroidery. I really want to for cosplay's and ish. There aren't, like, something similar to thimbles? But for embroidery? Why do sharp needles not help? Every line when I draw has to be absolutely perfect. Nothing else will suffice. And dawwwww thankies. Maybe I can draw something for you someday classified_jet

Queen Spazzy Darkness Dragons Revenge Lol big kittens. I wash my hair about every two days because I know how much damage it can do. I'm surprised that I've found someone else with the hair-tying-up problem. And I have a lot of hair and it does take forever to dry. I've actually been meaning to look for pics of you in the guild. My hair is happy after the trim, it was super easy to brush this morning! I know a few other people who have trouble with putting their hair up, mostly the women in my beau's family, they all keep their hair short because of it. Even though my hair is fairly short, it takes ages to dry, so frustrating. If you run a brush or wide tooth comb through it every so often after a shower, though, it's supposed to help it dry faster. And there are pics... around. Not many, but they're around, mostly over in the photo album. >>; I don't like taking pictures. And there won't be anything newer than about a year old or so? And I don't intend to take any anytime soon. I have serious roots right now and can't afford to fix it. >>; If acupuncture and/or chiropractor don't work then I might donate some of my hair to Locks of Love and see if it will make a difference. Even if it does, though, I still want uber long hair. I brush my hair in the shower. Ever since I was... ever since I could remember actually. If I don't, it gets all crazy knotty. OMG I'VE FOUND A PIC OF MY SPAZZY! But only one and it's pretty much only the top of your head. PS my dad is making fun of me because I can't find any pics of you!

Every line when I draw has to be absolutely perfect. Nothing else will suffice. And dawwwww thankies. Maybe I can draw something for you someday classified_jet Just pick up embroidery needles and thread and try stuff out on scrap fabric~ That's how I learned, trial and error and a little reading. It's not terribly hard to be honest, especially not on, like, linen and stuff. And I've never been able to use thimbles, or, rather, they've never helped. I hold my hands awkwardly for everything I do compared to most people, even for simple things like holding silverware (my mummy makes fun of me for it), so I would still end up stabbing my fingers. I also rely on my sense of touch a lot for crafting, so a thimble hinders that and makes me clumsier than usual. Sharps don't help because they're not made with eyes sized for yarn, and even when using embroidery thread it's SO hard to stab them through a tight stitch; it takes a lot of patience if I have to work through the middle of a stitch, I avoid it when I can. I'm totally a perfectionist with crafts and art, I know how it goes. I've been thinking of doing up a drawing for you, but I'm not sure if it will look as good done as it does in my head so I'm hesitant to start it. >>;

Princess Zelda21 Queen Spazzy Princess Zelda21 Queen Spazzy Take a break and work on something else for a little to clear your mental palate perhaps? I suppose that could work. How are you doing?I know it works for some people, and it helps me if I get frustrated with something like a drawing. I'm doing pretty well~ How about you? I'm doing good. Just reading a few threads in the forums mostly. Sure wish people wouldn't keep trying to sell some items for over 100 million gold these days. It's hard enough to try and save up for 'em no matter how long you do so the normal way.Inflation has been mad lately. My wishlist used to consist mostly of items I considered reasonably attainable (~100k or less for me) but every single item is worth something like half a million on average now. About the only way to earn money anymore is by shelling out real money or playing the user market, which is really frustrating.

Can you make me an avi maybe on tektek with your inventory and make an avi you like? Then do a non inventory one and I'll make us chibis with a little something extra wink PS -page stretching!-

OMG I'VE FOUND A PIC OF MY SPAZZY! But only one and it's pretty much only the top of your head. PS my dad is making fun of me because I can't find any pics of you! I used to donate periodically to Locks of Love, but I haven't been able to get it long enough in years because it's hard to keep my hair strong and it grows SO slowly. I keep trying to grow it out, though. (Maybe if I laid off the dye. As if that'll happen. >>; ) Eheh, I s'pose I could help out. This is the newest, my roots had just started growing in, so that's been... seven, eight months back. This one was a month or something before I dyed my hair teal and was shortly after I got my hair cut to Ramona Flowers' style (that's what a year's worth of roots looks like by the way >>; ). And this one over here was something like a couple days after I dyed my hair. There are a couple other photos over in the guild album on the last few pages, but, uh, yeah, I always look awful in photos. >>;

Darkness Dragons Revenge My mum has done embroidery before. She can teach me and has offered to teach me. OMG YOU HOLD YOUR HANDS AWKWARDLY? YOU'RE L FROM DEATH NOTE! Then do a non inventory one and I'll make us chibis with a little something extra wink I'm the only seriously crafty person in my family. My mum says I get it from her mum. And, to be honest, that's not too far off. ^^; Depends on the material; aida (the fabric used for counted cross-stitch) and linen and things like plastic canvas work well with dull needles. Canvas and heavy cotton and the like are usually better done with sharps; easier to pierce the fabric. owo? I, uh, wha? Do you need a human avi, then? I mean, I'll be using what I have now for a long while unless they push some more animal items to the shops. ^^; I'm terrible at making avis without some kind of restriction, that's why I always just do inventory tekteks. >>;
