Oh, the perils of being a fan of Atlus games. I only just got a copy of the first Etrian Odyssey, and that was because they decided to reprint the game.

DeSu 2 is a ton of fun; I've beaten the game five times and gotten all of the achievements aside from the one for cracking all skills. Although I think Nebiros and his stupid necromancy actually gave me the most trouble. And none of the bonus bosses in 2 were as much of a headache as Lucifer; I'm not looking forward to helping my friend beat him. D:
The first game had a problem where physical skills weren't especially useful late game. I'm glad they tried to fix it in the second game, but Multistrike went a bit too far in that direction. xd

999 is admittedly longer than it needs to be text-wise, but it's pretty enjoyable and I'd recommend checking it out if a copy shows up at Gamestop. If you haven't played it though, I'm not going to say anything else since it'd require going into spoilers.

Just a heads-up if you check out P4: the BDs are dub-only, while the DVDs have both audio tracks and the Japanese commentaries. It was apparently a licensor requirement.

Atlus has good games but I think they're a bit of a hit-and-miss. Either we saw a very good game from them or we see a half-decent game.

Nebiros was incredibly annoying, one of the most difficult bosses if you don't have overwhelmingly powerful demons on your team. Alice was a slight challenge too most because I didn't understand her "Die for me!" attack. I just used my OP protagonist with Lucifer and Satan to bring her down. Which I mean... Lucifer and Satan can be good or bad depending on how you make them but for me, they were pretty much invincible to well near anything as goes for my main character. Good times though.

I have seen it but I think I'll beat Zero Escape first.
As for spoilers, I might have a few for you depending on if you care or not but they relate to 999.
Spoiler? - Apparently Clover is back? And I feel like there were more but I forgot em...
Anyway, I took a bunch of screen shots that I'll probably post on Facebook later if you want to see a few scenes. Course, you probably won't want to because it may ruin a bit of the story but there are multiple endings... so... whichever you decide. Plenty of funny scenes though.

Thanks for that. Still may look into it though. I enjoyed the game quite a bit.

Ah. I meant it more in that their games have really small print runs and become hard to find very quickly. They probably have some not-so-good games, but I've done pretty well avoiding them so far.

On the bright side, endlessly respawning his minions means that leveling becomes super easy. But yeah, he's a pain without really good demons and abusing a couple of abilities like Matchless. Die For Me was annoying, but I also had Samarecarm on most of my demons so I was able to recover pretty well.

Lucifer is a bonus boss in the first DeSu game. He starts out not being too bad, but then he heals and starts casting Megidoladyne every time he gets a turn. It starts out very powerful and gets stronger each time he uses it. D:
He's a pretty good demon in both games though. I'm not using him anymore, but he was in my party for a pretty long time.

I prefer to avoid spoilers, so I'll wait to look at them until later. Thanks for the offer though!

Actually, I think I've heard someone say that before too. Class of Heroes for the PSP was Atlus wasn't it? Or was it Aksys...? Ah, I can't remember... but that game wasn't all too great. The art for the characters was pretty well done but everything else, not so much.

True but when you can't beat him with the only person you have left alive then you find yourself at a bit of a stand still and all the exp means nothing.
Beelzebub on the other hand was a great battle to grind levels.
I'll have to keep an eye out for the first DeSu now. xd

Dear Zephyrkitty,

I believe it was Sir Mix-A-Lot who once sang, "Oh, my arse, my butt, I've hungered for your a**s a long, bootylicious time." Well, that's exactly how I feel. Or maybe I should quote your favorite rapper, Sir Mix-A-Lot, who said "spanking ain't easy, but it's necessary, and I'm chasing butts like Tom chases Jerry." Either way, you know what I'm getting at: will you be my Valentine?

XOXO,

Jaycorn

Dear Skaeryll,

In the bootylicious words of a popular song, "However far away, I will always poop you / however long I stay, I will always spank you." My love, you truly excite the butt in my soul, and I cannot shake for even one more day without your juicy arsehole by my side.

Yours fartingly,

Jaycorn

So, a new eeveelution was announced. Unless it's a normal type evolution, it looks like light type is a real thing.

I'm not really a fan of how it looks, and that's a first for that line. I liked the Gen IV eeveelutions, but this one is looking genuinely lame.

Paper mario is one of the VC games for Club nintendo this month I ******** KNEW IT. Good thing I didn't buy it with my wiiware points.

I hope I get some money so I can buy Fire emblem later this month. Grimrock has usurped EO4 in my heart, for the time being. I might get it when it's in the bargain bin, but that game really seems like it should be an eshop exclusive. Am I a terrible and shallow gamer for thinking so? Perhaps!

There are actually still some wii games I wish to own, though. (I'm lookin' at you, return to dreamland.) I figure at this point, waiting for them to drop in price is not going to be any more painful, but Nintendo first party software holds MSRP ridonkulously, and only seems to get lowered across the bar if Nintendo intervenes, completely arbitrarily.

I'm pretty satisfied with the current types we have, I hope it's Normal, or flying.

Introducing some new types could help to unbreak dragon, I was talking to wayne the other day, and I quite agreed with him that it was a problem. There are some other types which are mostly useless, on the other hand, like bug.
