Queen Spazzy I'm the only seriously crafty person in my family. My mum says I get it from her mum.
And, to be honest, that's not too far off. ^^;
Depends on the material; aida (the fabric used for counted cross-stitch) and linen and things like plastic canvas work well with dull needles.
Canvas and heavy cotton and the like are usually better done with sharps; easier to pierce the fabric.
owo? I, uh, wha? Do you need a human avi, then? I mean, I'll be using what I have now for a long while unless they push some more animal items to the shops. ^^; I'm terrible at making avis without some kind of restriction, that's why I always just do inventory tekteks. >>; I got my love of music and drawing from my mommy. Darkness Dragons Revenge Lol I just got bored one day and made the folder and collected stuff <3  I have a gallery bookmarked on dA filled with emotes and stuff.
And s'okay, I know how it goes.
I'm over on another site doing stuff anyway, I just come back periodically to check for new posts.

But it's a vein that runs in the family because my uncle's girl is artsy, too.
Sure, I can make my avi look like me, I'll give you a quote ping when I get it done. owo I'll take a screenie if it when you're dressed up. I can't wait emotion_kirakira I don't have all the stuff in my inventory to make casual me (though I can buy the stuff on the tektek for cheap), and I'd have to change the hair of my human base, which is kinda pricy.
But this is pretty close to me when I actually leave the house, 'cept I don't have bangs. I wear jeans a lot, too. Out in real life I have items equivalent to all of the stuff on that avi., tho'.
I DO have stuff in my wardrobe to make semi-formal me, but I would still have to change my hair for that, and I haven't worn the real life dress the outfit would be based on since I graduated high school. >>;

And no, I got it from the Pyramid Collection. ^^;
I wore it to my junior prom (which sucked, by the way, but I still love the dress, just... have no excuse to wear it anymore).
My beau's outfit for that prom was made by his mummy tho'.
It was kinda pirate-y, so I called him The Dread Pirate Phillip and I was Buttercup.
No, not fans of The Princessbride, nope, not at all.
