Dark Moon is great! I think I'm going to get Dillon's Rolling Western now that it's on sale.
So, anyway, if you get rolling western, lemme know what you think of it. It's been tempting me for a while.

Hey guys. I'm thinking of getting a smart phone. I don't know anything about smart phones. Tell me about smart phones. Smart phones.
they can be pretty spendy monthly pending on what carrier you go with. the phones themselves are really only worth their price if you go into a 2 year contract but then again that means your stuck with that carrier for 2 years or else you gotta pay fees to leave em.

the smart phones themselves can be neat to have, i was trying to learn a new part of my city's bus system and got lost, thank god for google maps.

some of the games are ok, but if you got a 3DS your better off with that. no doubt in my mind angry birds will be on handhelds and consoles of all kinds soon. my smart TV has it pre installed so i wouldn't be surprised.

I can't understand the point of getting an expensive phone, I always get a cheap phone because all I ever do is call people. @ @ Educate me on the ways of these expensive devices! I don't know why they're considered a must-have!

You're probably right, but part of me gets a weird pleasure out of spending hours comparing specs on gadgets. Also, I'm planning on applying for work study programs this fall, and if I do get one, I'd be living in some dormitory for at least a month, and I doubt I could bring my desktop.

That said, who really knows if I'd get such a position? Kinda putting the chicken before the egg, or whatever.
Cart before the horse.

And smart phones/smart phone plans aren't cheap, either. They're nice if you're poor and are around wi-fi a lot or you can afford it. Again, no offense.

I would like to be able to do things out of the house. I probably wouldn't get the most use out of it. I am a bit of a homebody, but I'd like to be able to have a decent camera on my phone (I could get this on a much cheaper feature phone, which I will probably do.) but I also want Pandora when I'm walking or in the studio. Instagram might be neat, as a person who has tried to use blogging for PR it's always intrigued me, although I do fine with just tumblr, and I don't think cheesy filters add much.

There's games too. I already own a bunch of keys for the Google store because of Humble Bundles, but none that I can't play on PC. I have a 3DS though, and smart phones have never really interested me because of games.

There's a whole bunch of little minor reasons, but I could do most of that stuff with an android tablet.

Oh, and having a portable wi-fi hotspot would be neato too, but not something I'd get a tonne of use out of.

I'll probably go for a feature phone upgrade, though, and buy a nice little tablet for myself if I get one of those positions. I'm sure they'll have wi-fi. I might buy a tablet anyway. I've been thinking of picking up a nook, but I couldn't see myself buying it for books alone. The library is literally within walking distance, and I pass it on the way to school.

It's not like I have the money for a nice tablet, though. I have to spend all my money on other stupid s**t, because pottery.

And I have to spend another stupid hundred dollars taking a CLEP so I can finish my degree and graduate. That itself is kinda pointless, because my AS won't be any good for transferring into a BA program.

But maybe having some kind of higher education will help me be competitive for jobs.

I'm getting a Galaxy SII, because the feature phones that are available to "upgrade" to are garbage.

It's free after I get my rebate, and my dad's agreed to pay the 10 dollars extra a month for premium data as my birthday gift.

It's not top of the line, but it was the best of the "free" phones. It'll certainly be an upgrade from the phone I'm using now, which is a Palm Centro. It doesn't have "qualcomm snapdragon" or "4G LTE," but A) Who cares and B) that service isn't even available in most places.

for better prices all i can suggest is stay away from touch phones, if you can get one the right way like i did through a contract and an upgrade, i got my HTC one X for 50$, very nice phone though since the plan is through my parents company i couldn't quote you on how much it'd cost monthly to get full use of it.
