16-bit Jazzy
I'm listening to a pop radio station at work and whenever a "retro" song plays, like something by Tears for Fears or Prince or even anything from the 90s, it's just plain superior. I have to turn the radio off when a lot of recent songs come on because they're annoying. -_- Plus out of all great 2000s songs, they only play irritating s**t like "Big Yellow Taxi" and "When the Night Feels My Song". It's depressing. At least I have control over the radio today.
xd The thing about oldies is that the bad ones don't get radio play, and it gives some people a very skewed view of the past. It's not that older music is really any intrinsically better, it's just that new music hasn't been sifted by relevance over time.
Plus people view old bands works as a whole, and they're like "Wow, so many good songs! Noone modern makes half as many good songs as this." and they neglect that modern and emerging bands are still forming their classics, whereas a band like queen had like 20 years to do so.
Queen is great, though. No questioning that. A lot of their contemporaries have been forgotten.
