Darkness Dragons Revenge Ooo! I'm part German too! Other is 50% Italian and the rest Slovak and Polish. Oh dear god that GIF <3  I'd love to go on adventures with you! We need o go on a road trip across america visiting everything scary! I never knew Ohio was so renown for being so haunted! I love people with connections 
I don't know all of mine because history on my mum's father's side is kinda sketchy (apparently he had siblings that died when he was young that my mum and her siblings never knew about until recently, he never talks about family history stuff), I just know the surname can be traced to Russia.
Despite being totally disconnected from my father's family I know more about that ancestry, I'm distantly related to Ringo Starr on that side. >>; I'm also one-sixteenth Cherokee on my father's side, so I'm totally enamored by everything native American; I went to an exhibit at my uni before I quit on the tribes native to the Appalachian valley of Ohio, they even had people in playing music, oh my gods, it was amazinggg. (I've also been to Cherokee and Catawba in NC when I lived there and saw them dance, I still have video and pictures of it somewhere, I loved it.)
It's expensive to do the ghost hunting. I'd love to go, but it's thirty dollars off-season, forty during October, and that's per person. They've had paranormal investigators in from all over, though.
I actually intend to do a haunted tour of at least the state with my beau as honeymoon and we hope to one day do the country and maybe even go international. (The dead are easier for me to handle than the living, go figure.)
A lot of people only really know about the Mansfield Reformatory because it's widely renowned for being a paranormal hot spot, but because so much of Ohio is rural and people work so hard to protect the historical places, we have a LOT to offer.
And paranoid because if I mention them, a person with bad intent could very easily find me; I seriously live within walking distance of a couple of them.
As flattering as having a stalker might be, I'd really rather not have one. ^^;
My beau has very good connections when it comes to supernatural, he's cool like that~ He met some people at the uni that have done a lot of research into it.
Oh! He also goes to school near another haunted place (though he doesn't go to the haunted school itself), perhaps you've heard of it? OU in Athens, especially, uhm, Wilson Hall; perhaps the most haunted campus in the country, some might even argue the world, established a little over two hundred years ago.
I, uh, read about the supernatural obsessively. >>;
I have a book somewhere about ghosts in the foothills of NC (where I used to live), perhaps I should go dig it out... I SHOULD also have a book about Ohio ghosts somewhere, but I'm not entirely sure on that one. ^^; |
