I really liked Super Metroid until the ******** shitty space jump and screw attack that don't work half the time were introduced. And there's just so much artificial difficulty in Ridley's lair. I can't stand bullshit like that, where once you overcome it you're just so pissed off at how unfair it was that you don't even feel good about it and are wondering why you're playing such an awful game.

Where did you think the artificial difficulty was? yeah if you go from fusion's space jump to supers, it is still kinda wonky and if you mess up you gotta fall all the way till you can either hit a platform or sometimes wall jump. while in fusion you could restart mid air. i could see ridley's lair being a bit of a challenge, the boss himself though is one of the easiest things if you pick up lots of upgrades. spam super missles, then missles and he should be dead if everything hit. if any boss is hard its phantoom seeing as theres not much to heal off of or normally save before his fight. the nearest save is basically your ship xP.

Oh, god, I'm right there with you on the space jump thing. I think I used save states a lot in Ridley's lair. That made it better. Where did you think the artificial difficulty was? Well you can't heal before the golden chozo boss, so I had to farm for health by exiting and re-entering a room for like ten minutes before fighting him, twice. Then, after you beat Ridley, I could be wrong but it seems like the only way to get back up to the rest of Norfair is to swim through a room of acid that constantly drains your health. Okay, not swim obviously - or even walk/run, but space jump. The door out is high up but still submerged in acid. If the space jump doesn't work properly, there goes all your health. There's also some of those enemies that are only weak to the screw attack in the acid to make it even shittier. Fun! Plus once you get out of this acid room and are low on health, there are a bunch of strong enemies to get by before you finally get out of Ridley's Lair. Someone on Miiverse said you didn't have to go back through the acid room but I wouldn't be surprised if he was wrong. People on Miiverse are wrong a lot. Plus Fish said he remembered the acid room from when he played many years ago - bullshit like that isn't easy to forget.

HOW DO YOU HONESTLY WALL JUMP. I tried so hard and it makes no sense. Just went through the whole game without wall jumping (unless you count those parts with the grappling beam things on the walls)

16-bit Jazzy I hope it has more than one level razz Want to see more. Same. I don't know why they're acting like it's not Green Hill Zone, but man I'd love if they took more old Sonic stages and gave them that treatment. Imagine Chemical Plant MMMM. But there's a desert world with more dessert stuff so that's pretty cool.

Imagine: -Marble Zone -Aquatic Ruin Zone -Mystic Cave Zone -Labyrinth ********' Launch Base -Oil Ocean -Angel Island -Hydrocity -Flying Battery -Marble Garden -Palm Tree Panic -Collision Chaos -Any of the Sonic 3 2P stages Or any other sweet old-school zone that gets no respect. I mean if you're going to recycle old levels don't make it Green Hill Zone and Casino Night EVERY TIME! Also if they ever make a desert level with a remix of this as music I will die. x_x Or they could do Sandopolis again. lol. The Egypt area from SA2 was kinda inspired by that.

Pro-tip: When using the space jump, don't mash the jump button. You need to wait until Samus starts falling in the jump to press it again. I think in some games it will also stop if you hit a wall or something. Game mechanics.
