The Eleventh AK Yeah what a boring thing to talk about What's new in the pottery world? got a square card reader for selling at festivals. Gonna start rollin' in the cash. Or not. I'm trying to churn out a bunch of stuff for a thingamajig next month. Platters, mugs and bowls. I think I should make more platters, ya know, because CHRISTMAS. Santa cookie plates. I should make some red slip... See, I pretended to be oblivious to your sarcasm and that's the joke. Hug me, friend.

I would try if I thought I could market it. Otherwise I'd just have more pottery lying around. I like to make way more than I like to own. It's a problem, actually. I'm drowning in this stuff.
The thing is, though, in late october people are gonna want A: Neat s**t they can serve food on (Sorta thanksgiving related!) or B: Gifts.
Now, personally. I'd be bothered if someone gave me a christmas themed piece of ceramic ware as a gift for christmas, because when do you use that stuff? Once a year? People just think that makes sense, though.
and so i must sell it to them

Then again, I REEAAALLY wouldn't count out Halloween stuff.
I am really pragmatic and spartan in my lifestyle, but I can't forget how many southern living housewives there are around here, and them bitches gotta redecorate for ERRY HOLIDAY.

This has ironically become a rather good brainstorming session for me.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=3qQPNO9D8rw It looks like the character customization in X and Y is more extensive than it first seemed. I just hope it's extensive enough that we can have red hair. sad Official art on GoNintendo shows red hair! Also someone told me you can apparently even have purple hair! Best. Pokemon. Game. Ever.

Xilo The Odd [Kegan] This has ironically become a rather good brainstorming session for me. lol glad i could spark it. curious though, dimension wise whats the biggest thing you could make? all in one go that is. On the wheel I usually keep it under 5 pounds of raw clay. Lately even less, because I can make the big s**t with less. I'm not a big fan of volume for volume's sake, so naturally I'm not very good at it either. The biggest things I've ever made, dimension wise were platters. Wheel thrown platters are a PItA to trim, though. Lately I've just been rolling out thin slabs and draping them over forms for big platters/plates.

I should really start doing stuff to cater to nerd audiences. Specifically I should do s**t that makes people want to tumbl and pin my etsy pages FOR ME. Like this one person. https://www.etsy.com/shop/midderin/about?ref=l2-about She doesn't make a lot of stuff by any measure, and the forms themselves aren't amazing. but she does drawings of s**t like MLP and Chibiterasu from okami- oh an pikachu, and people eat that s**t up. She stocks anything and it's GONE BABY GONE... in like a day! I would just have to practice drawing moogles and pikachus and other trademark infringing s**t, then I too can rake in the phat stax.
