Yeah wow. Was the venue also an oven though? That's how it was for me in San Diego. Protomen and pokémon... must have been the best night ever right? :3

I have tinnitus sad I've never really been in a small venue for that long. I really hope this isn't permanent damage. If someone said to me "Well, you can go to a protomen show where it's so loud that you can't actually hear the music or you can keep your nice, virgin hearing forever." I might have gone with the one that didn't leave my ears ringing and everything sounding hollow 8 hours later sad
It seemed just as loud wherever I was in the venue, but I'm thinking I should a sought out the back after the immediate shock of how loud it was during the opening act. MY MISTAKE, I MOVED CLOSER TO THE FRONT STAGE LOLOLOL
About half way through I noticed panther started to sound like an alvin in the chipmunks record. IT WAS MY EARS. HAH.
I hope my hearing comes back and this ringing goes away. Holy ********.

I am just looking for remedies to the ringing, and all of these sites have conflicting opinions on how much one night can do, but they all make me terrified that I WILL NEVER ENJOY MUSIC AGAIN.

Jesus. That is terrifying. I was worried about that during my first Megas concert, actually. Every concert after that hasn't been as loud as that one either because I'm more deaf now... or the venues were better. sweatdrop The internet is however the worst place for medical advice so don't expect to find your answer here.

I found a trick involving putting my palms over my ears with my fingers over the base of my neck and rubbing my index over my middle in an almost snapping motion, and that kinda helps... for a few minutes, atleast.

I never really notice any serious ear issues after Protomen concerts. They might be kinda fuzzy for a little bit afterwards, but usually it's my throat that hurts from singing and yelling.
Chromeo killed my ears a few years ago when they came to my school for frosh week, but my ears were better by the next day.
Sum ting wong witcho earz.

Might be that I was never properly deafened before. I've never liked loud things. I keep my speakers at like 6 percent even when I'm listening to music. (Speakers dialed all the way up, computer at 6 percent volume.)

My hearing is pretty much normal again. I was scared for a while, though!

At the show I thought I was just baking a big asperger-worry-pie in my brain when my ears were hurting, I was just like "Noone else seems to be bothered. Time to man up, Mallon."
but when I woke up in the morning and it still sounded like I had earplugs in and my ears were ringing I kinda freaked out!
But now my ear canal has ceased to be swollen, and I'm fine again.
Delicious anxiety.

It's that time of year where I find out whether I have the charisma to sell people bowls for 20 dollars.
