[Kegan] Oh I googled UPN and it's been defunct for a while.... But their programming always sucked. Their programming was all shows that were like : "Hey, we're black, and here's some really garbage jokes and sappy sitcom crap." they had fresh prince for awhile but then they stopped showin it. guess it got too white for em.

Really only 2.8% for those aged 18-24, though? That seems low.
Well, that's good for everyone else.

The number may be misrepresented. In statistics there's always a chance of bad sampling practices.
But the fact that it seems like all these people are depressed around us might have something to do with the way people gravitate towards a certain section of the net based on their temperament, and how the most vocal people online might be those who, for one reason or another, don't do much in the real world.

Well yeah. I of all people know that, having taken courses on social statistics. 3nodding
Yeah... I figured it had something to do with Internet, maybe. And people who are fans of video games and anime and junk. They seem to be depressed more often.

If I'd seen that job listing for the laser tag place just a few weeks earlier i might have a job.
It's all food service. I can't do that s**t. I can't work somewhere and serve people meat because although I'm not militant about them, I have my beliefs, and I can't just compartmentalize. Not if I don't have to anyway. My stout refusal to work food service is not an asset. That's all there is around here but grown-up jobs.
You know, jobs you need to have experience and credentials and a better degree than me to get.
Other than that it's a whole bunch of places that are never hiring.
Maybe if I got out of the house more I'd see these signs, but when you have no money there's not much to do but walk the dog and hang around your parents house.
It's maddening. I'm an apt and able individual and I crave fulfillment through work, even if the pay is crap.
I need to get AWAY. From RICHMOND. Somewhere where people aren't so ******** tight knit and where people hire total strangers for things other than fast food.
So many people I know had their parents and their family friends hook them up with like actual jobs in highschool. Where was that when I was 16 and browsing the same ******** jobs on snagajob?

part of my depression prolly stems from everytime i start to succeed at something that has the potential to set me up for life, something happens either at home or elsewhere that makes it impossible to concentrate on work.
that and the state of our countries goverment and its prioirties (and i dont just mean black guy in white house.) it's all aiming towards us either being born rich or poor and only if by some stroke of luck could we have the potential to find our job we'd love to do.
america is great dont get me wrong i still believe we got a lot more goin for us than 80% of the rest of the world, but if we could take away some things the other 20% are doin, maybe we wouldn't have a goverment that fights itself at every turn.
and maybe if our education didnt cost us more than we could afford that'd be great too.

You could work for a grocery store. The company I work at if always hiring, mostly because most people quit working in a grocery store after 2 weeks.
