Am I the only one who thinks the rivals have been kinda lame since gen 3? They're just too nice...
Gary was an a*****e and the story centered around catching up to and beating him a lot, and then ??? was both an a*****e and a just plain terrible person.
And then assholes just gradually disappeared from Pokemon. Like I felt bad fighting Team Plasma, whereas Team Rocket were just so easy to hate.

16-bit Jazzy I'm pretty sure your chance to trigger the optional battle normally goes away after beating Brock, but I've never tested it out because who wants to go all the way back through Viridian Forest to do that? A kid who can't find a ******** pikachu.

Well Pikachu ARE pretty rare. As a kid, you could just go through without encountering one and never know they were even there, which suuucks. Maybe they would have made Pika more common if they'd known that it was going to become the mascot.
I don't really get Team Flare... like, they're dicks but sometimes some of them seem alright, like Lysandre or Xerosic (after you catch him).
I mean, I guess it makes sense. No one's really ALL bad.

Interesting... someone started a LP of the Sailor Moon RPG in 2009, but never finished the game (or uploaded footage of them finishing). So I'll have to be the first.
Right now, though, I'm feeling a POKEMON GREEN MARATHON. I'm gonna try to play continuously until I beat the elite four, since I don't have school this week (and then after that I'll do lots of studying! there's nothing really better do to anyway)
It'll be interesting to see how well I can do without being able to read, and also to see all the deformed sprites
