I wonder if anyone could complain if Nintendo made a generic-ish FPS with Nintendo style, charm and polish.
I think that maybe they need it. I think that demographic constitutes the largest portion of users who would buy a dedicated gaming system.
Or would those people brush it off because they're toooooools?

Derrrr. I'm sonic. I have a history of okay platformers with great atmosphere but in the more recent two-thirds of my existence, my games get pushed out without play testing because people will buy they as is, derrrr.
