First you'll need to edit your profile so that you're starting up in version 1.7.2 of minecraft (No special stone blocks, sorry sad You can change back whenever from the launcher.) Once you've done that you're ready to install forge.

All the mods run through minecraft forge. You need the latest correct version of java for your machine (32 bit, 64 bit, etc) and the installer.

If says something about accessing the mods folder through .minecraft, but you can launch the game with forge installed (Which installs itself with an executable jar. very handy) you can open the folder from within the game, which is handy because you drag and drop the .zips or .jars from these pages right into that folder. Don't extract them!

Then you would need the custom mob spawner

and Mo' Creatures.

I'm trying to get Archimedes Ships to work, but ultimately I might not keep it, due to instability in multiplayer. I highly recommend downloading it anyway to play in single player, because it's super neato.

I personally am running GLSL shaders mod, with "Sonic Ether's Unbelievable shaders v10.1 preview." If you download that, I recommend you try turning cloud shadows off. They are busted. For me atleast. GLSL shaders goes in the mod folder that forge creates, after your run the game once with GSLS in the folder, you'll have a "shaders" folder that you can open from inside the game, and you just drop the sonic ether's zip in there like you'd drop a mod into the forge mods folder.

Okay, I could have archimedes ships on the server, but the problem is that if any person who's driving a ship dismounts with left-shift instead of de-compiling with K, the ship will stay an entity, which is a problem only on SMP. In single player you can leave your ship floating. In SMP, if you leave a ship floating, it's fine, until you try to touch the helm again, and then the server crashes.

edit: I realize now that it's not appropriate to call this SMP. It's creative. Not survival.

So MP. just in general... razz

If it's such a frickin' problem, it's stupid that when you mount a ship, it tells you to press left-shift to dismount. I guess it's because mounts and boats are in the vanilla minecraft code, and this uses that.

It's fun in single player, though. Sailing the high seas aboard the HMS Poopsock.

My TV is a glorified monitor for my computer, which makes it the smartest TV of them all.

What is the mystery egg thing about? Just exchange eggs without telling what Pokemon is inside?

It's so easy to get whichever Pokemon you want, this gen. I think it would be more special to receive a Pokemon from someone, that they nicknamed themselves. That way, you can always think of that person when you play with that Pokemon.

Bad eggs is a glitch where corrupted data causes your PC box to slowly fill with "bad eggs," which are weird and broken, and ruin your game. It's bad. There was a pretty big bad egg problem when X and /y launched. People thought trolls were wonder trading them, but since I haven't heard anything about it since, I guess it was patched or a hoax.
