I knew for sure that people stayed up thinking about things... but awkward things specifically?

...I guesss so. It seems like no matter what situation you're in, there's other people on Earth who are in a really similar one. surprised

Yeeeep. Just read the article on Gonintendo. It seemed like a given though. I even been wondering if the customizable move-sets were an idea that was born from Nintendo asking Sakurai to implement something for NFC.

Seems like it'll be pretty baller.

OH YES.

There's supposed to be a Smash 4 presentation and then a presentation of equal length for an unknown 3DS game. This guy only said the Wii U version would use them.

Sooo... completely original 3DS game that uses them as well?

Maybe the 3DS version of Smash just won't use them at all or have any way to communicate with the Wii U version. neutral hmmm.

I wouldn't be surprised if NFC was the WiiU version's big selling point, but I don't think a lack of NFC will necessarily mean no interconnected play. Maybe you'll only be able to play between consoles in some kind of compatibility mode, if at all. We could have already assumed this from the fact that there are very few shared stages, and the ones that are shared look a bit different between titles.

I think that the Wii U version's selling point will be that it is THE NEW SMASH BROS. emotion_drool

How does having few shared stages indicate that they might be compatible?

Because they have identical rosters (So far.) and I figure as long as you have stages and characters, you can have smash bros. the elements that don't line up aren't entirely needed to play, like certain assist trophies and the full roster of stages.

I'm not saying it would be the best way to play, but it could be possible to play.

Alllllllrighty.

Also did you see that people on blue team will just have blue outlines and not have to wear the blue outfit, etc.? Yaaaay.

That means... the Villager probably doesn't have (or at least no longer requires) any looks apart from the four already shown.

Are you sure the outlines aren't just in the 3DS version? It would make sense because that game already has outlines around each character by default.

I mean, it's a feature I'd like to see in the wiiU, because then I could play as red haired lucas on whatever team I wanted.

You know, if Lucas comes back.

Nope, I'm not sure! It'd be a little weird if it was like that for the 3DS version only, though.

I really don't think Lucas is coming back... cry

I'm afraid that my strong resemblance to a high school student is inhibiting my ability to secure a job.

Dang. I already have a bunch of those, but I guess I could give some as gifts.

It's probably worth it just for sonic and the allstars racing transformed, honestly. I was pleasantly surprised what a good racing game Sega made...

...then I did pretty much everything you can do in it in the 3 free weekends they've had for it.

I don't think the sonic adventure games have aged all that well. they're plagued by some really awful camera issues that only ever seemed bearable because I didn't know any better.

I don't remember the first one as well, but I definitely remember issues with the second. especially on treasure hunting stages. Jeez, it was so bad.

But then some of the music from those games... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5VBjq0oPZM

I rented that and some harry potter game around the same time. Running around on treetops and finding the weird metal sonic that looked like shadow in eggman's secret base... And then exploring Hogwarts. God, that game was probably garbage, but thinking about it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

They need to make Encarta Mindmaze: Hogwarts edition.
