"Hey, you did it though, right?" Vence said, taking it back and putting it in his pocket. When he looked back up, she had already whisked herself away to the side of the ship. And sure enough, Mayloo was right: as soon as he had a clear view, he could see the lake coming into view, the sun's rays reflecting off the surface so that it shone brightly.
And just barely visible, beside the expanse of water, was Bankridge. From here, it looked like a few toy log houses randomly placed, but Vence knew better. Bankridge, for anyone who studied history in depth, was famous for having one of the best defences in the realm. And he knew one of those buildings held Theil.
"Sooner than I expected," Vence happily stated, glancing up towards the sky, shading his eyes. It would only be noon in a few hours.

Mayloo had nodded a happy agreement to Vence's simple yet sweet words.
Of course now that she was scoping out what came before the boat, her mind had wandered elsewhere. It would almost be a really good bet that it was even emerged in the upcoming lake itself. "Hm?"
Vence's statement had caught her back on board so that she could turn and look at him curiously. The sun was an obvious irritant to his sight considering he was blocking his eyes. "But I bet it's not soon enough right?" It turned out she really had heard what he said after all. Approaching him slowly, she couldn't help but hug him. Her feet would soon be stepping off of this sea travel and not only on land, but a land that would begin to unfold some other discoveries and developments.
(( xD Ok, I was making sure honestly cause I understood it wasn't spelt the same but I wasn't sure whether you were going crazy or not. I looked them up though and although I've never played with them, I've seen them. ))

He welcomed the embrace, turning away from the sky and returning it.
"No, not soon enough." He knew once the two of them, the minute they stepped on land, walked off the deck and into the lakeside village, things would take a drastic change. On this boat, with only a few people, it was quiet, peacefull, almost unreal, really. On the waters, time flowed around you, but not with you. On land, it was a whole 'nother story.
Maybe after this little quest, I can save up and buy a little craft of my own, Vence thought to himself. Now he needed to know long long it would last.

She hadn't quite released him yet and because of that, Mayloo was getting somewhat tired again. Her head was leaning against his chest as the lake wind swept over them. It was calming...but how long will it last? Her arms didn't falter much so it would be up to Vence when it was appropriate to let him go.
"Maybe as a water bender I could push the boat along somehow?" This was said just casually and normally before a miniature laughter followed. "I don't know if that's even done..."
(( Duuuuuuuude, mail em xD kidding ))

Vence smiled at her idea. She may have thought it was a little silly, but it actually wasn't a bad idea. Some people might be a little skeptical about it; after all, magic was never predictable and arcane in nature; but it would work. He pulled himself away from the embrace, but did not let go.
"I'm sure it's been done before," he said reassuringly. Only then did he draw away, but his hand remained in Mayloo's. "But at the moment I think it's best the ship takes it's course. We're almost there, so, perhaps we should grab our things?" Already people were beginning to bustle about, quite different from the usual lax disposition.
[XP yeah, I wouldn't send them anyway. I should probably finish Theil's profile, huh? He still needs his personality and biography. o0]

Mayloo couldn't help but smile as Vence's hand continued to dwell within hers. "I didn't mean change the course. Perhaps just speeding it up?" The question should be disregarded now considering they were to begin packing like he suggested.
"Ok" And since they were still connected by hands, she went ahead and pulled him along to the entrance into the cabin area before letting go to descend. Once down, Mayloo smiled up at him and went ahead to their room.
"Well...it was nice while it lasted" And without further hesitation, she began making sure she had everything while awaiting for Vence.
((Fine then, be that way))

Vence followed Mayloo down the step ladder, without even hinting of rushing in the least. In truth, he was nervous. Why shouldn't he be, after all, he had no way of knowing, well, anything, really...
Yes I do, Vence thought suddenly, pausing half-way down. He could send a message, technically. It might be risky, considering distance and time were involved, but it could be done. Just tell him I'm here, I'm with a friend..more than friends?..and we want to meet. He nodded, and finished descending. He knew what he'd do.
He waved when he walked into their room, and pulled out his stuff from under the bed and threw it together, almost haphazzardly. Disorganized organization, you could say. With not much else to do, he sat on the bed, content to wait.
"So, mind if I ask you a question?" he asked, curious as to what her answer would be.

His arrival did cause as my uproar as she had planned on making. Instead of getting up to hug on him, she stayed put to finish up her simple task. The sooner it was complete, the sooner they meet feet with land again. Her focus remained on a one track basic until she finished and looked to Vence who happened to ask a question regarding another question. "Well considering you already did, I won't mind answering another one" Mayloo answered with a smile while crossing her legs to sit in curiosity.

Vence smiled, amused with her answer. Well, now for the next question.
"Well, remember the day before yesterday, when we mentioned possibly some sort of training for you? Well, I was wondering, what exactly would you want to learn?"
He had been thinking about it in his mind, mulling the thought over. She had potential, and she was willing to learn more. She would have to learn more than just what she wanted, but interests would be given some priority.

Mayloo couldn't help but feel a tad disappointed for she hoped the question was more interesting, however, being nice, she would answer this one. "Well..." And even having decided she'd answer, she had no idea where to start. "I want to learn more helpful uses for this magic during combat. Maybe even by making more potent." Vague response alright but it wasn't to be rude, but very undecided and lacking of knowledge. "If you or your friend have any tips or ideas, I'll take some into consideration."
((What if just won a million dollars, would you share? ))

[ whee disappointed? What was she thinking about? wink lol]
"Well you're in luck," Vence said, leaning back so his head rested on the wall. "Me and Theil specialize in combat. But your magic works different from our's too. Theil could help you with nature; it's pretty close to earth. Water though...we can only give you tips." He sighed, aimlessly staring at the ceiling. Odd, how he could use fire, an element only capable of destruction, and she could use water and nature, the essentials of life.
They do say opposites attract. He smiled at the thought; it was humorous. Maybe it was just a coincidence?
"Anyways, it was a thought I had."
[....Maybe. XP]

((Oh she was sooo waiting for you to pop the question xD Just kidding. I dunno really. ))
She stood back up to jump on the bed space besides Vence to lean her head on his shoulder. "I think I was just lucky for meeting you." Mayloo smiled to hear what else he had to say.
"Well yeah...but I'm hoping if I have assistance in one element, the other one may come more naturally.
Her feet were rocking back and forth upon their heels while she hummed ever so lightly. "It was a good thought..." Now she didn't want to move anywhere else.

"You think so?" Vence asked, turning his head to his side to look at Mayloo, now resting against him. How many people are actually interested in learning magic, if they have the talant at all? Not very many, seeing as magic was generally looked at with uncertainty, to the point of superstition. If people knew half of what he knew of magic, He might as well have a bounty on his head for witchcraft...
Which made this whole deal more comforting; before he had only one person to talk to, now he had another person he could confide with. The thought made him smile.
"Thanks." It was all he could really say. What more was there to?
[ 3nodding Silly, of course I'll share.]

Kissing him upon the nose since he now looked at her, she smiled. "I know so" And with that said, her head fell back upon his shoulder while her eyes searched the ceiling as if expecting something to show up. That wasn't going to happen though but that's usually how it always was. Searching, waiting for the impossible, and having it never show up. Didn't bother her at all, in fact, the only thing that really did was somehow allowing her mind to drift to something insignificant when the boat was nearly docked.
His word of gratitude didn't lead to much else, so why not just go ahead and rid the excited jitters from her skin now?
"I can't believe we made it and we're actually going to travel together!" This was expressed aloud as she know sat up on her knees and hands to stare into his eyes so that he to may pick up on the emotion.
((Good mrgreen Cause I'm good to need some initiative for my random haircut, hairclips, and cell phone charms business. xD ))

Still smiling, he nodded at her enthusiasm. It was something he didn't really have, and he sort of envied her for it. And with recent events, the chances of enthusiams coming from him were even more slim. Things were about to change, though, so maybe some more good could come out of it.
That was not to say he lacked any emotion.
"Really now? I just can't believe I'm not doing this alone," Vence replied, returning her gaze with his own.
[ xp Well, wish me luck on getting a million bucks.]
