The birds fly up quickly gaining high altitude so they can travel faster and avoid as many air pressure changes that cause terrible turbulence. "Should be a smooth ride from here!" She yells to Koukotsu as the birds take off into the horizon towards the Cloud village. Having a little time to talk to Hiro while on the back of the bird Shoko, and him get a nice talk in while unluckily for Koukotsu the wind would be too loud to hear their conversation unless they were yelling. "Hiro, thank you for coming with me."
