Artificial War

Marie practically tackled the head, tearing the shell apart with her pare hands and working on disarming the devices that were put in place to destroy the memory units before her jury rigged knife ran out of power.

"Come on. We need to get out of here," Azm ordered as he ran towards the stares.

After the SEALs fired their shots, they shouldered their rifles and made a dash for the stairs just a few moments before Azm. They headed straight for Marie's meeting point, knowing there wasn't much time.

"Go cover her. I'll get the hummer," Azm said once they reached the bottom of the stairs. He ran out the door and went straight for the hummer, getting in and starting it as quickly as possible.

"Yesss..." Marie hissed as she managed to disarm the device just before the knife ran out of energy.

"Yes sir!" Ben replied as he and Niles sprinted for Marie's meeting point.

A few moments after she successfully captured the head, they appeared.

"Everything clear, ma'am?" Ben asked, while Niles was covering the entrance.

"I think so," Marie replied when the two seals showed up. She dropped the head in her backpack.
Running footsteps could be heard coming from the door where the first android had come from. Marie positioned herself next to the entrance and waited.

Once the hummer was started Azm floored it towards the group, flying out of the alleyway. The tires squealed as he came to a stop near them.

As soon as Azm stopped two armed android burst trough the door, their attention focused on the vehicle.
The first was punched in the side of it's head hard enough to make a pretty sizable dent and send it flailing down the street.
Once it's friend had been punched down the street the second bot's attention started turning towards Marie.

As the second android's attention turned onto Marie, Niles fired a shot to it's neck, while Ben shot the side of his head.

"Come on!" Niles growled, grabbing Marie by the arm as they made a run through the door, wanting to get back to Azm as quickly as possible.

Marie followed though she didn't have much choice as she was practically dragged into the hummer.
As soon as they were secure Azm floored it.
They were soon followed by more androids on foot. They opened fire on the hummer as soon as they saw it. Additionally small flying drones with low caliber weapons emerged from behind the building.
Marie pulled the head from her pack and started hooking the memory unit up to a tablet. "They seem pretty upset..."

"I'd imagine so." Ben answered gruffly as he and Niles took turns, popping out of windows and opening fire upon whichever enemy was closest to the Hummer at the moment with brief moments of fire.

"We only ******** them over."

The androids on foot quickly gave up the chase but the flying drones did not. A couple fell to the seals fire, but there were still almost a dozen left.

Azm floored it, heading straight for the most densely populated area of the city.
Marie was too busy looking through the memory unit to care about what was going on around her.

"Can we get some help here?" Ben asked with a growl.

"Marie, Azm. Switch spots or something. The head can wait!"

Azm nodded, grabbing Marie and forcing her to switch spots.
Marie squeaked loudly as she was suddenly forced into driving. The hummer swerved slightly as she took control.
Azm moved to the back of the hummer, picking up his smg and kicking out the back window. As soon as he spotted the drones he opened fire.
"WHERE THE HELL ARE WE GOING!?" Marie yelled.
"Just keep going," Azm replied calmly.
Most of the drones scattered when Azm shot at them. A couple of them weren't so lucky. One exploded and the other clattered against the ground.
"Why are we going into city!" Marie yelled again.
"Because local forces might help us," Azm answered.

"If there are local forces on our side." Niles inputted as he took down another drone.

"It's suicidal to be this close to Bot Turf."

Azm deployed his shield as the drones came back. "That is why we're driving away from bot turn," Azm replied as a spray of bullets bounced around in the back of the hummer and against his shield. He returned fire, shooting blind from behind the shield until the drones stopped then coming out and actually aiming.
The drones scattered again and started to head towards the front of the vehicle.

"Who the Hell would want to live out here?" Ben asked, just as a shot from outside took down one of the drones as it went around the side of the vehicle.

"Who the Hell was that?" Niles asked, curious who among them took out the drone, just as one on his side of the vehicle went down.

Azm shrugged. "Someone helping us it seems."
"Well that's ******** excellent," Marie grumbled to herself as she pushed the hummer as fast as it would go.
