"I'm glad," he breathed, closing the closet door and gesturing for Nikolai to go to the staircase. "I refurnished the bedrooms, the game rooms, and the entire basement. The kitchen was destroyed, so I recreated it with easy-to-use equipment that figure out what you're trying to cook and shuts off the heat when it's done so you don't burn it!" He grinned, reaching for Nikolai's hand. "And what's even better, the entire place is fireproof."

Nikolai tried to keep up with what Leon was explaining, but he was never a carpenter. An interior designer, of course, but building it on his own was a completely different story. When Leon mentioned the cabin's new characteristic, though, Nikolai looked at him and smiled slowly. Ah yes, fire was a touchy subject around him ever since... the incident. He didn't dare touch the fireplace, even when Leon was back, and that made things hard when the snow came. To fear fire and snow, what a life.
"It's certainly better than my house." Nikolai nodded while walking towards the staircase, holding the bigger male's hand. "I wouldn't mind living here instead. I'm sure you're still quite attached to this place as well, hmm?" he smiled over his shoulder.

"Only a little," he answered softly, reaching out to gently stroke the side of the stairwell. It was clear how much the place meant to him, but he didn't want to make Nikolai feel like they had to move here already. It was only meant to be a winter getaway.

A little, he says, Nikolai chuckled in his mind and gently put a hand on Leon's arm. "Show me around, dearie. I want to see all the changes you've made."

"Are you sure? It'll bore you," he chuckled, kissing Nikolai's temple.

"Then be sure to take me to the bedroom, too." Nikolai smirked slyly and tugged Leon up the stairs, eager to see what the rooms looked like.

He blushed lightly, then nodded as he followed the Sin. "Speaking of, I didn't know what to do for our master bedroom, so I left it completely alone for you to decorate," he said, licking his lips. "I tried to decorate everything else, but I'm not really that good at it."

"Mmm, that's why they have HGTV, dearie. It teaches everyone what they need to know about home decorating~" Nikolai brightened, though he was obviously excited to do some redecorating of his own. He opened a few doors and peered in, listening to Leon talk about how he managed to fix it up and what all he brought in. The Sin marveled in the new designs and items that looked absolutely priceless. Finally, he entered the master bedroom and looked around. It looked the exact same except for a few missing objects the flames must have kept to themselves. Nikolai could feel a steady wave of nostalgia hit him the longer he stayed there.

"... And finally, I managed to find the original bedframe under all the ash. It was busted beyond repair, but the design was copied and replicated," finished Leon as he leaned on the wall, eyes watching Nikolai. He'd tried very hard to make everything look all right, but knew his own style was nothing compared to Nikolai's.

"It's truly marvelous, dearie. You're amazing." Nikolai praised while looking back at Leon. "Don't get me wrong, it could use a rug here and there and even a few lamps, but otherwise it's truly a work of art. How long did it take to finish this, darling?"

"Not long," he said sheepishly, reaching out to touch a random trinket while looking down at his feet. "I mean, most of it I did while you were asleep, but a bit of it I also did while you were at work."

"Dear me, you can do anything, can't you?" Nikolai smirked as he turned to face the bigger man. He walked up to him and draped his arms around his broad shoulders. "That's very sexy~"

He smiled softly, shaking his head. "I'm terrible at darts," he said, holding back laughs. "And I can't handle those stupid metal puzzles."

"Oh, you pervert~" he purred adoringly at the Sin before the kiss. He wrapped his arms around his lover and breathed gently, kissing lovingly.
