June turned and gave one look to Duri before her body collapsed into a sleeping state once more.
What if she'd been granted the joy of eternal rest? The sleep was so deep, so calm, peaceful, and dreamless.
She enjoyed it. she needed it.

Also~ I got Zadea to be more active on Gaia and you didn't~ in your face!))
His eyes looked up from the hat of infinite stories and spared a glance over at June. She suddenly fell over, went bye-bye to the land of snooze! Why not go there yourself Duri? Why the hell not?
He stood up from his position, it might be the last night he had spent with June. He laid down beside her and encased her in his grasp.. Eyes slowly shutting..

If anyone were to see her subconcious as she slept, they may have died. Of all nights she could remember, that was the worst dreams she ever had.
fortunately for her, by the time she opened her eyes and returned to the world surrounding her, the horrible scene had left her completely.
What was the dream, you ask? I wouldn't know. Perhaps June will have the dream once again, and she'll remember it enough to tell it. Be that as it may, that particular dream may have drained any ounce of sanity left in her calm subconcious. If it's brought to her attention, well, let's say there'll be nothing less than another world incident.

((You guys are epic individuals! Thats all I have to say. That was the best writing I've seen in a while, a hell of a lot better than the book I'm reading.
And darn it, I wish I could've gotten on earlier... but then again I was to hyper... at least you were online.))
Rafeal was out, stalking his prey. Wierd animals like jackalopes were hard to come accross back at home. He just thought they looked funny, and made an interesting trophy. Drawing his bowstring, he aimed at a little rabit with antlers. He missed, and it sprang away. "Dang it..." He muttered.
It made him think about his years of feeling hunted, running away... maybe a bit of an outcast, a freak. Like the jackalopes. But only for a brief second, he focused again on bringing dinner home.
A new animal crept cautiously into view, he shot it and gathered it. That made him think about saying good bye to those days, and becomeing his own person, and casting away his weaker self.
Eerie shadows were cast by the flckering flames of the campfire, highlithging Aleta's face, darkening the hollows of her cheeks, and darkened her eyesockets. The yellow flames made her skin look green. She looked dead, likely. A silence had settled on the camp, the mood was reflective, but it was almost as if they were approaching a turning point, there will be no going back. Time for thought.
What will we do, where will we go when this is over? Will we survive? Aleta left these questions unanswered. She didn't want to think about it. Old memories came back, from the first battle, to the time she and Duriono fought side by side to save Kagura, memories of her brother and family, the time she met Rafeal, and thier reunion after the first battle ended. The tavern stood out in her mind, she remembered the people they met, the people thay lost. Some memories brouht tears to her eyes, others made her smile.
The revverie was broken when her mate returned with 3 antlered rabits. "I brought dinner!" He said with a smile.
((Heh... in Gaia, jackalopes exist 'cause I said so. >:'D ))

Kagura sat up, the scent of meat hitting her nose. A drowsy look in her eyes as she sat up, her hair down to the back of her neck rather than up in her unique style. She had a doll clutched in her hand, and looked about the place like a little lost child..
A little lost child, that's what she was when all this began~ nobody to run to, nobody to be cared by. Nobody to care for~ Her journey had been a long one, and connected with several others.
She suddenly became alive when the grey man walked towards the group, she jolted up with a starving look on her face. In her night sky pajama top she gracefully skipped over to Rafeal, a cat like smile on her face.
"Can I have some?" She requested, winking an eye and leanned over slightly. She was very full of herself in some parts, and down on herself in others. Cuteness was one she always built up, with her rounded out face and a childish smile.

(( Uglies. Its getting better though, it just didn't suck me in, and I can put it down at will. I like the concept, for some reason I love all of these dis-utopian society stories... heh, the first scentance made me laugh though. "The sky was the color of cat vomit."))
Rafeal tossed her a carcass. "Knock yourself out..." He went to the fire, and began to skin the other two.
Aleta watched him, in a way, he was even more of an expert than she was with a kinfe, or dagger. In a cullanary way. Knowing how to prepare his own meals kept him alive all these years, and hunting was second nature to him.
He cut up portions of the animal, and dropped it in a pot with some water, and started chopping up vegatbles he pulled from his pack. Rafeal then walked back to Aleta and sat next to her.

Kagura caught the corpse and fell back onto her rear with it, eating it like a savage, raw and getting blood on her lips. In the light, she seemed creepy, rather than cute. The doll rolled out from her side, it's hat falling off and stared outwards into the darkness.
When done, flicked the bones aside and wipped the blood from her face...
Speaking of savage, through out this quest Kagura has eaten some strange things: plates, soup made of pipes, a live cow, a live human.. And that's only afew of the things she's eaten after she met when she had met the others!

((Did you read The Hunger Games yet? Even though its sci-fi, its violent... I think you'll like it.))
Aleta smiled, and looked up at him. He grew about 5 inches taller since they met. The fire made his red eyes look more intense, it brought out the orange, and they sort of glowed. Rafeal noticed the lighting on her hair, wich she had not put up in a week. The cold black was now warm and inviteing-looking.
"So... we're going spelunking tomorrow?" He asked.
"Spelunking?"
"Yeah, its another word for caving."
Aleta smiled, "Thats a funny word... spelunking." She chuckled. She didn't want to think of it, she wasn't looking forward to tomorrow, she wanted to stay here with Rafeal, by the warm fire with the company of her friends forever.

Kagura hugged her knees, looking up over at the elves as she began to work her mind in several strange ways.
She tilted her head and then looked over to Duriono and June.
The child had done alot of growing up in the past few months, from a little lost girl with no story to a hardened warrior with a novel on her back.
She began to think, what exactly had been happening in Guardian's fort? She stood up and wandered over to Duriono, slipping his earpiece out of his pocket and placed it inside her own. She decided that she would wait for the others to fall asleep.. but then again Aleta was keeping watch this night, maybe she could take the position from her? Maybe she could sneak off unseen? She was very good at that!

((Well that sucks... it starts off a little slow though. The next 2 books have a lot more action in them. Keep in mind its a trilogy.
My boyfriend decided to visit today. ^_^
GAH! I just found a typo in my last post! *edits* Way is supposed to be 'word'. Dx))
Rafeal sighed, and put his arm around Aleta once things were silent again. They were still thinking, reflecting. She smiled, and moved closer to him. His skin was so warm, his scent was earthy with a hint of cologne, wich was odd, he never wore any.

((my town seriously sucks.. Our library has a midgity collection, and we don't even have a mall! We have to go to the next town over to get to a mall, and that one sucks as well! D:< So, to get a better selection, I have to go like 50 or so miles just to go to a good one! This is bullcrap!

Kagura crossed her legs once more, slipping back into the light of the fire. She sprawlled out on the ground away from the group and placed her hands underneath her head.
"Nighty night!" She called, promptly shutting her eyes after moving a hand to her ear silently.

Ha, I have a library and a mall... razz ))
"So..." Rafeal looked off into the distance, as if he could see anything in the dark. He didn't really feel like talking, but the silence was a little un-nerving.
